Toshiba Canvio Slim II 1TB Portable External Hard Drive, Black (HDTD210XK3E1)

    • Do not get this drive unless you already have good drive-agnostic backup software.
    • I expected it to come with free software upgrades as long as it was supported
    • The backup software is junk.
    • The only negative is the Backup software that comes with it (NTI Backup Now EZ)
    • The software that came with the drive makes it easy to
    • I used a free software, called SyncBack Free (http://www.2brightsparks.com/freeware/freeware-hub.html).
    • Sure, the software isn't great, but it is very easy to download other great backup programs for free.
    • Also, it comes with a lot of free software, which i don't really use, but it seems like it'd be useful/valuable to a lot of people, so make sure you take note of that
    • Excellent software for backup included.
    • I use it to store my clients files, and it work great.....not so much the software that allowed me to access the contain on the go, but other then that it's the best.
    • The only downside to this equipment was the software that came with it
    • Google for a better backup software program (there are free options out there.)
    • I tried following the instructions, and the software still didn't make it work
    • The included mac software is a nice touch, as well as the Pogoplug software
    • Software is the worse I have ever used
    • Supposedly this software is capable of this, but I was unable to get it to work and tech support has not been able to help me either
    • works nicely doesn't need any special software and the slim presentation is very much apreciated
    • GREAT Hardware but SOFTWARE that is bundled with it is ANCIENT
    • Cool software came with it
    • The included software actually works quite well on both Windows and MAC computers
    • and it comes with password protect software ready to install on the drive
    • (300MB/s), is not limited to SATA2 speeds, but to the HD transfer speed off the disk.
    • As such, I only trust up to 150MB/s.
    • To give you an idea, it's just a little bigger than a playing card and about as thick as my phone (Nokia Lumia 920).Performance-wise, it's pretty speedy with USB 3.0 - I transferred 250 GB to it in about an hour, which is a consistent 70 MB/s.
    • they are surprisingly fast (70+MB/s)
    • Works as it was stated
    • It's quiet (as for HDD)
