I have alot of experience in computers and networking, this is a great device with good wireless range.

Good range and works with both apple and android phones

After countless resets, countless trial-and-errors at each step, I managed to get it connected to my phone via station mode (so I connect to it via wifi, instead of to my wifi through it, given the limited 5m range), and all password protected so people cannot steal my files.
