Reviews around idea (5.00 of 5)

  • The idea is a great one and I love that they are using Android as it makes it to load
  • Overall, Touchjet seems like a good idea with the hardware technology in place.
  • I love the idea of using this for collaboration in meetings, but there are some serious setup issues
  • Love the idea but non-functioning product combined with non-existent customer service is a real bummer
  • I could never get the app to recognize the device, so I have no idea if it works or not

Reviews around touchjet (5.00 of 5)

  • Overall, Touchjet seems like a good idea with the hardware technology in place.
  • The Touchjet Android OS doesn't always play well with routine Android actions.
  • The Touchjet is as accurate as far as I can tell -- and at a fraction of the price

Reviews around need (5.00 of 5)

  • Easy, light touches work very well, so no need to push hard on the TV, which could make it wobble slightly and create issues with the transmitter and receiver.

Reviews around kid (5.00 of 5)

  • my kids are so excited to use the wave because they already have the pond and love it too
  • The kids love the interaction with the TV used as a giant touchscreen now
  • I originally bought this to use with my grand kids as it would allow me to share with them Netflix movies and allow them to interact with educational games.

Reviews around calibration (5.00 of 5)

  • Sometimes when using the touchscreen keyboard it was pressing the 'm' key instead of the return key so even though it was calibrated it seemed like the calibration was off
  • Even with very good calibration, touch responsiveness, both in accuracy and in movement, is less than ideal.
  • Likewise calibration was a breeze

Reviews around tv (4.03 of 5)

  • After playing with all the apps that I installed on my Smart TV I realized I just spent a lot of money for a big tablet that my students can play Sugar Crush on
  • 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV, Silver (2016 Model) and it's a good 1/2" too thick for the sensor--which is not adjustable
  • One goes to my cable TV, one to my PS4, one to my Blu-Ray player and one to my Roku stick (because Samsung smart TV's don't provide Sling yet), so I had to make room by taking out one
  • Transformed my old Samsung with 50” into a “smart” interactive TV
  • but I'm on the fence about this as do I really want to sit there and smear up my expensive TV

Reviews around unit (3.95 of 5)

  • Once that was done the right way the unit performed amazingly well
  • We currently have a Samsung television and cannot get the unit to fit the top of the tv
  • Note, after setup and getting the Android unit on my local WiFi I was able to enable mobile data again and the software connected to the Touchjet just fine
  • This extra piece really helps stabilize the unit on the top of the TV.
  • Turns out the problem was that the instruction manual says "do not insert the hdmi cable all the way into the Touchjet hdmi port" and warns that pushing it in too far may damage the unit, but this was a misprint.

Reviews around touch (3.91 of 5)

  • Easy, light touches work very well, so no need to push hard on the TV, which could make it wobble slightly and create issues with the transmitter and receiver.
  • and certainly they've made progress adding touch to an otherwise non-touch surface
  • Easy, light touches work very well, so no need to push hard on the TV, which could make it wobble slightly and create issues with the transmitter and receiver.
  • Lastly, the responsiveness of the Touchjet to one's touch on the tv screen is mediocre at best

Reviews around product (3.75 of 5)

  • It comes with a phone app that acts as a remote, circumventing the issues I mentioned, yet at that rate, there is hardly a point to use this product, as the app it navigates with is inferior to any that come stock with a smart TV.If you want a touchscreen, you are far better off just buying one, as this product is simply too finicky to be reliable especially for home use alone.
  • The product was extremely affordable, came quickly, and was boxed beautifully with easy installation guide
  • They would do the product a favor by selling the company to someone else that can the the idea to where it needs to be
  • Flawed product, spent $300 on something I can’t even use
  • I never knew until recently such a product was available

Reviews around device (3.70 of 5)

  • This is an EXCELLENT device to create a touchscreen out of your TV to demonstrate in classes and lectures.
  • Man, this thing seems like a great device but there are too many technical issues with it
  • The device isn't very responsive as a touchscreen and the connection is spotty
  • Frustrating device unable to fulfill its potential.
  • The actual device works great but needs to be used with a narrow tv/monitor

Reviews around experience (3.61 of 5)

  • Using it instead of your finger elevates the experience.
  • I keep hoping there might be some firmware and software updates to improve the experience, but so far no go.
  • I'll try again on another TV when I have access to one, and update this review if the experience is any better.
  • The experience is majorly hampered, however, by the software - both the Touchjet app on my phone and the Android OS on the Touchjet unit feel half-baked and are unreliable.

Reviews around setup (3.22 of 5)

  • Setup is easy if a little tricky: You have to align the transmitter and
  • setup was easy; just take the time to line it up correctly and calibrate
  • Easy setup with wireless connection, easy to get going.
  • Physical setup wasn't too hard on a free standing monitor
  • Setup is... frustrating

Reviews around time (1.54 of 5)

  • Worse...it wastes even more time to try and set up a device that in the long run...will never work as described
  • When I first got the device I had a hard time connecting the wave to my TV
  • When I first got the device I had a hard time connecting the ways to my TV
  • Not of us have the time to go through what I went through this summer to end up with a big screen was sure crush on it
  • What was supposed to be a cool, time-saver and techy toy, was just an irritating process we don't want to deal with again
