    • So that means I will need to either temporarily reconfigure my router with just this device attached hoping I can change the default IP settings, or I will have to completely redo my entire network as several devices are on a static IP address.
    • And I found the DHCP client a bit flaky, so am using a static IP address
    • Great little switch - but be forewarned, my 8 port came factory set to have a static IP address of 192.168.0.1 -- which just so happened to be the same I use as my home network's router...
    • We don't have to configure anything, although we can still setup a static IP address within the router for each device by mac address and expect that those settings will work
    • This might be a great switch if it were not managed, it is the managed part that sucks because it loses its management IP address and makes the same as your gateway and trust me, it is going to cause you all kinds of problems.
