Great value, fast network speed, and just plug and play.
My internet download speed is about 600mb/s, and this switch will not exceed 100mbs.
Downloading somthing fast causes all the other machines connected to this switch to experience extremely slow speeds both to other devices on the network as well as to the internet
Works as expected but seems to stall to slow speeds at times.
Get those super fast T100 transfer speeds with this beast

Good 8 port switch, the POE ports are powering 4 POE Amcrest cameras without issue.
On one unit two ports failed about six weeks after purchased
I literally haven't looked at the thing since the day I set it up which is exactly how a switch should operate; no hassles, no issues, just more ports.
Just plug an ethernet cable into one port from your router and up to 4 more ethernet devices (PC, Xbox, Roku etc.) into the other available ports and off you go
Also ports are automaically (factory defaualt) set to the highest rating in power thus limiting to only a few devices

It is much better than my 10/100mbps switch I had before which would briefly quit working every few days
It look like if you isolate the device you can change it to another IP, or to DHCP... then just wait around for it to reset to default some day and crash your network again
This led to 1/2 a day chasing down problems that proved to be with that exact function on the switch itself
Upon initial installation it seemed great and worked exactly as you might expect

I use tp link for my unmanaged switches, they run cool (no fan), we will built and sturdy, use almost no power, and are compact
Are you kidding me - this is about as affordable as you can go before sacrificing quality and functionality
If I ever feel that the fan gets louder, there is a quiet fan direct replacement that can be easily swapped out for under $20.I like that fact that I was initially able to just plug and play with the switch

I had to return the switch as the fan is rather loud and runs at full speed with no load management.

My house is completely wired for Ethernet and I needed plenty of ports to support all the computers, DVD players, smart TV’s and
Great little switch - but be forewarned, my 8 port came factory set to have a static IP address of 192.168.0.1 -- which just so happened to be the same I use as my home network's router...
I didn't have time to chat at the moment, so I used their e-mail support option.

I decided tocall the T-Link support line and they suggested trying to connect the cables in various other ways
With this model you are getting a model enclosure/shell that is a bit more usable in certain scenarios, but most assumedly is also more durable than the plastic alternatives
It was a bit crazy making, but after testing and getting other expert opinions, I swapped out my gigbit ethernet switch and all is back to being wonderful

Some of the equipment in our house is hard wired and some uses wifi
This box allowed me to keep my PS4, and smart home hubs wired.
I vastly prefer Ethernet (wired) over WiFi (wireless) since not clogging up the WiFi bandwith with 20-30 more devices makes for a better experience for those devices that truly need to be wireless
The hard wired devices will not work when wired through this switch, but all of them work when wired to the router directly.

(this is my job, software test).Only complaint is you have to install their software on a PC, or set a static IP on its expected network, neither of which I like.
I contacted support and they were insistent that I had to use static IP
The static IP on these comes set at 192.168.0.1, which will in most cases conflict with your home router and torpedo your network.
I have two IP Amcrest cameras that works great.
inexpensive IP generator.would be even better with POE
