    TP-Link AC1200 Dual Band Router - Wireless AC Router for Home(Archer C50)

    • The device worked perfectly for the first 3 or 4 months I had it, but recently it has started dropping the signal and failing to route through to the internet
    • I have a small two bedroom condo, all on one floor, but the signal doesn't do well in 2nd bedroom and bath.
    • I get a much better signal with this router compared to the wireless router in the CenturyLink modem.
    • It has a radius that probably reaches my neighbors with decent signal strength (hence the password protection), which means my house is covered great
    • The app is pretty basic, as has been mentioned before in other reviews -- but I don't have excessive needs of my router other than to ensure it has adequate signal, adequate reach, and a sufficient UI.PLUS, this thing is able to setup as a Mesh Network
    • In terms of the WiFi performance, I get a strong solid signal all over my 1000 sq feet apartment.
    • I have it placed upstairs in a 2 story house, and I can get clear signal EVERYWHERE in my house, even outside for a good few yards
    • it's strong signal

    • It expands through the whole house with strong signal.
    • I have to specify my channel to get a steady signal.
    • If I moved from upstairs to downstairs, I would have to toggle wifi off and on to get the stronger downstairs signal
    • I'm able to get a great signal upstairs and downstairs
    • When working it broadcasts a very strong signal and I have no dead spots in my home, garage, yard, etc
    • And forget about giving access to friends or family, anytime there's more than 2 devices connected wirelessly everyone loses the signal...
    • Actually it has a stronger signal then our house wireless router.
    • This is a nice unit that has a very strong signal.....no doubt about that
    • Works great for an inexpensive router but has trouble sending strong signal upstairs.
    • Plugged right in replacing a DIR-615, much faster, much simpler to set up, stronger signal
    • The Roku is also connected to this network, and streams fine (but it also streamed fine on the old one too)The signal on both bands is very strong upstairs, downstairs and on my back porch
    • This router has no issue sending signal to the basement where the xbox is.
    • Keeps dropping signal my 5 years old router works a lot better than this crap
    • great signal
    • This unit has great signal, it's easy to get going, I really appreciate the wall mount features - and they've built in a great little feature that dims/kills the external LED lights at a set
    • periodically (monthly or so), otherwise the signal seems still strong but no internet connection.
    • I have the speed I get, the signal is perfect and I have not once had to reboot
    • Amazing range with a very strong signal throughout the household
    • If I knew better, I would spend half the money on a better 2Ghz router w stronger signal and would get more values.
    • Works great in dual bands, good signal
    • Works great in dual bands, good signal
    • Worked well for about two months, now it constantly drops the signal and needs the power cycled
    • We noticed the improvement immediately throughout the house with stronger signals on all of our devices.
    • Not a single problem with installation/setup and it delivers clear strong signal
    • Never really got a good signal for my devices
    • Super easy setup, excellent signal strength
    • Easy setup and great 5 and 2.4 signals.
    • Compared to my previous very well rated TP Link router that I purchased 3 years ago, this router has much much stronger signal and therefore much faster speeds when further away from the router
    • so I can't say whether this is better than any other, but I do know that it has great signal and is fast without alot of buffering.
    • It provides wireless though out my home with an extremely strong signal.
    • Looked like a great deal but its signal cuts in and out at random and will not transmit a steady, strong signal for long
    • Strong signal thought my home
    • Even though my Wifi can reach my bedroom now, I still have my old Archer C7 setup as an access point so that I can use SteamLink or Moonlight from my bedroom with a strong 5Ghz signal
    • Strong signal and works flawlessly with the rest of my google wifi mesh network.
    • Seems to have a good signal
    • Strong signal
    • Changed channels on the AC 1200 but still won't send a consistent signal and our devices (laptops, TV, phones) are no more than 12 feet away from the AC 1200
    • Never froze, signal is stronger than I need for my one-bedroom and speed is what comcast provides
    • Works great for an inexpensive router but has trouble sending strong signal upstairs.
    • We have seen no lag times, and we have a strong signal all across or two-story home with a concrete second floor
    • I have strong signal all over my 2400 square foot home!!!
    • The 5GHZ signal is too weak to be practical.
    • Good signal, easy to setup and worked perfectly for our need (college dorm room for wifi printing to keep printer private off of univ wifi).
    • Strong signal throughout my 3 bedroom place on both floors
    • Great wifi signal
    • Improved the wifi signal in my home drastically
    • I just installed one to reach a gate at close to 75 to 85 yards, (clear sight with a few trees) the signal reaches but at times the signal isn't strong enough to carry video, I ended up having to bridge the connection
    • I get a strong signal in the far reaches of my two story house.
    • Too many dropped signals and connection problems
    • Installed this bad boy and now I can get a solid signal everywhere in the house, backyard and in my neighbor across the street's front yard
    • We used it in a 2 bedroom apartment, and never once lost a full signal
    • and I'm getting good signal strength on 2nd floor.
    • There are times when my devices tell me I have a weak signal or no signal at
    • Antenna's provide strong signals through thick walls in a commercial building
    • too??Router loses signal intermittently
    • I'd put up with a lot of garbage if this thing cranked out enough WiFi signal to heat my coffee for me, but its signal really isn't any stronger than some of the older N- and G- points I have used recently
    • Not only that, I can get decent signal at the end of the driveway
    • Worked great for a few weeks, I basically purchased because I wanted faster speeds and better signal for my devices farther away.
    • It has a better signal strength then my previous router, but not the fine grain control that I use to have
    • Also the router has a strong enough signal for my sons Xbox one to connect and play online with no LAG!
    • Example, you may want to have a better signal on your sunporch, basement, etc
    • I went from 5mbps to 81mbps up and down constantly to a consistent strong wi fi signal.
    • Easy setup, very strong signal (-40dBm) for both frequency bands.
    • As distance from the router weakens the 5 GHz signal, you can see your devices switch back to full signal at 2.4, without manually switching bands.
    • After spending 20 minutes waiting to be connected with tech support I spent another 30 minutes trying to get the very quiet spoken asian lady (who sounded like she may have been in another part of the world) to understand that a tech support that could barely be heard because of her quiet voice and low signal, and was unintelligible ( due to her heavy asian accent) was not much use to me
    • So both stronger signal and faster.
    • I even have great signal outside in the yard while cutting grass or working on the yard
    • The main problems are constantly dropping signal and speed was inconsistent
    • Overall I think it is a great value option when all you need out of your wifi is the ability to stream video, those looking into gaming via wifi, may want to check out the NetGear NightHawk series as those have higher bandwidth caps and stronger range/signal.
    • This one seems to have a steady signal on both 5 and 2.4 Ghz
    • My house is ~1200sqft, good signal strength throughout my home.
    • The router easily covers the two floors above with a strong signal and as yet it has not droppedout.
    • The 2Gh signal is stronger on the new router so it helps.
    • Gets good wifi signal even outside or on the other side of the house
    • Strong signal , nice device
    • The router gets a stronger signal across my 3500 sq
    • Great signal strength that it goes through my whole 2 bed 2 bath
    • The signal is strong and stable
    • Great signal, works great with U-verse router but port
    • and it has a hard time reaching the room it always says the signal is too weak
    • Strong signal too.
    • This router is fast when working properly but constantly drops signal several times a day
    • so if your AppleTV and your iPhone don't happen to like the same signal, they will not see each other
    • so the incoming signal to the house is strong and the cable to the AC 1200 is solid
    • Stronger signal than my Archer C9, both for 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks
    • The signal is strong out on the patio, and throughout a very long yard (except behind a separate, distant cinderblock garage).
    • The wireless signal is weaker than I would have liked, and does not reach as far as the ailing D-link DIR-655 that it replaced.
    • Both work great sending their signal in my big backyard
    • Great signal..
    • Strong signal.
    • Rental unit was on the first floor and I got a spotty signal in the bedroom
    • I force my 5GHz devices to connect to 5GHz, and since none of my neighbors are using 5GHz, I actually get much better throughput even with the weaker signal (through walls) on the 5GHz
    • The C5400 has a very powerful signal
    • This sits in the same location as my previous one, and where I previously couldn't get more than 1 room away before losing signal quality, now i can go anywhere in my home and a good bit into my yard and still get amazing
    • Plus the signal is strong throughout my condo, where my previous d-link N router could barely go through walls.
    • Then when everyone started using that band I needed to get an extender as more interference started hurting my signal
    • Signal is strong throughout our home and outside as well.
    • But much better signal strength everywhere in my one-story house of 2000
    • I worked fine to start, but after about 4 weeks the signal got extremely weak and eventually didn't work at all.
    • Two of the bedrooms that would get spotty signal, now have have full strength.
    • I'm now getting a consistent signal, and my wifi speeds have doubled
    • Keeps losing the wifi signal and doesn't pair with my smart plugs which have a Kasa app specifically for TP-Link
    • It has an old tech look about it and is pretty big compared to the aforementioned cheaper router`s, but if you have burn money, then I would recommend this router.
    • Wireless transfers from PC to PC are excellent +100 MB/s, and same external drive to direct PC USB 2 gets
    • I wanted a more reliable 5G wireless connection so I could take advantage of my 155 Mbps internet in my wifi-congested apartment building.2
    • Also 2.4G is useless and overcrowded, 5G is the only band that works perfectly.
    • Even the 2.4G was faster than 5G with MIMO
    • I don't see why ppl will want this C5400 if it doesn't have more features than the competition or equal too in options, the firmware does have its limitations also for the class this router is in also, many other routers in this class have alot more features (bandwidth speed, deep packet inspection, faster USB transfer speed on router ports, 3G/4G USB Dongle and Cloud Managing, just to name a few)
    • sometimes 2.4g will lose network but 5g still works
    • sometimes 2.4g will lose network but 5g still works
    • Several months now and works as it was on day 1 and Set up was a breeze!. No signal loss or any other issues
    • and I have great WIFI coverage on the first floor of the house as well as in the basement
    • They walked me through another reset and tried to get off the line as fast as they could.
    • I went from a single band to this triple band as well as from a 10Mbit to 100Mbit service
