In the latest version of firmware on this router you can supposedly block a DOS attack...although I don't know how effective that feature is.

One other feature I liked was the ability to reduce the transmit power level for this router

The user manual indicates the Tether app can manage the router from anywhere via the cloud, however the hardware version of the router I recieved is to old to support this feature

User interface is a bit clumsy and the features are merely adequate but the damn thing IS really fast and puts out a strong signal.

It's 2017 and this router still asks you to look on the back, find the version number then head out into the internet to gamble on finding the right firmware to fix it's buggy features

One minor detail I did not expect but is very useful is an orange LED that illuminates when the internet is down, a frequent occurrence where I live, and a feature my old routers did not have.

DHCP reservations are a nice feature

I know that's a nice feature for p2p gamers.

It has a feature called NAT Boost, which is supposed to make internet communications better/faster.

Whereas on the mobile app I can name each device (for example I can change ANDROID-1577 to [Wife]'s Phone) which is a really really nice feature, but I can't change device names on the desktop web app

But in short I love the features, guest network, dual band, stability of FW etc
