    • I needed to turn on "DYnamic IP" and then it connected immediately.
    • however, it has problem recognizing the dynamic IP from my internet service provider (Comcast).
    • One thing I am not clear of is whether I should use static ip assignment for the items that I need to be static like my cameras or whether I should just reserve ip addresses for those items and leave them as dynamic.
    • Their firmware is buggy on DHCP server, The workaround is, assign your device with static IP address, or factory reset the router by reload the firmware, soft reset the router won't solve the issue.
    • It can be configured by giving it a static IP address, turning off DHCP, and plugging the cable to the router into a LAN port instead of a the WAN port.
    • My 6 year old router recently started dropping WiFi connections even after changing channels numerous times and setting up individual static IP addresses for all my devices
