When using this router to stream video, my Smart TV has a hard time streaming in HD

I wasted time and money on WiFi extenders.

It loses connection for about 10-15 seconds each time

This is coming from a person who has a hard time with any technology.

Very good but still has a hard time with range in a place with thick wall.

This evening I lost connection 3 times within 30 minutes.

Hundred times better than my old one

It is consistent and we haven't needed to re-boot our wifi like we were doing several times a day with our old router.

The first time I called tech support, I got someone who spoke English and subsequent calls were routed to China(I think).

It comes with two flimsy brackets that are supposed to allow wall mounting, but they gave me a rough time when I tried

If your time is worth nearly nothing to be on tech support for hours, multiple times, then no worries either.

This replaced a 6 year old Netgear N600 Dual Band router that was losing power several times a day

Set up all three networks... devices have a tough time picking which and then one has the printer or the drive....

My internet connection randomly crashes multiple times a day

As I’ve slowly converted my home to a smart home over the years, all my WiFi enables devices have been sucking up my bandwidth to the point that my exterior nest cam loses its signal multiple times per day

Every time I install one of these in a customer's home they praise me for how much I improved their WiFi signal and speed

I was kind of spoiled with the router options I have had back in Europe and got disappointed here several times

Having all these functions fail regularly, and usually at most disruptive times ( Thanks Murphy ), make this a completely unacceptable product.

I initially had a hard time seeing it up but soon realized it was my mistake not the router

Whereas I was losing connection multiple times each day, I’ve lost connection maybe half a dozen times since connecting this one

While still in warranty I am having a hard time getting a replacement even after the customer support team has agreed that the product is defective and needs replaced

However, I had a difficult time completing the setup in that there was no clear direction about changing the preset password for the router.

but IMO this is an unsafe and shoddy shipping practice in modern times, especially when the box has a great-big picture of a high-tech router on it.

I live in a large apartment complex and the wifi on Quantum gateway router seems to have a hard time dealing with the cement walls and all the interference from other wireless routers in the building.

Most times it suddenly stop and lost internet connection, I have same issue on TP-Link other WIFI router, this thired TP-Link router in my home, different modle but all have this issue

Add to that if you connect a USB Hard drive to the router you'll have a very hard time interfacing with it

The technical support provides canned answers and I wasted my time trying out various configurations.

Time's up!This router has not crashed one single time since I first installed it over three months ago

Never had a complaint until March when the router would randomly reboot a few times a day, then a few times an hour and finally by the 10th of March it turned off and hasn't come back on

The last time (tonight), I got everything working but now realize they've changed how parental controls work, and I can no longer just set up an access time for a specific client (daughter's chromebook).

I was looking for a router with parental control to restrict internet times but the description did not mention that the hardware version was an old v1 and did not have that functionality

From day 1 this unit lost connection to the router up to 3 times per day.

All I wanted was to find out how to limit my sons pc time
