TP-Link AC2300 Smart WiFi Router - Long Range by RangeBoost, MU-MIMO, Wave 2 Tech, VPN Function, Dual Band, Gigabit, Works with Alexa, Integrated Anti-Virus & QoS(Archer C2300)

    • Was having trouble with certain bulbs intermittently falling off the network as well as my Google home devices.
    • Without this feature (which is standard in ALL routers), the device is worthless to me. -
    • We are all able to enjoy our devices
    • I know that this device has helped us stream and connect our multiple devices to our WiFi simultaneously with more success and less issues than we had before, so for that reason I love it and am giving it 5 stars
    • I definately need these devices to work at all times, because I often travel with my job and am not home
    • So far, all my devices are working properly, Windows, Android, iPhone, iPad, Linux.4
    • I am sure that this router is a perfectly capable device, but at least in my experience, it falls way short of its advertised 1625Mbps at 5GHz signal rate which was the primary reason I got it
    • It’s a great device
    • If you just need fast wireless connection and won't be using LAN this is a great device but if you plan on using this as main router to wired/wireless devices I would be cautious.
    • Original Review: This has a great range and works well with my computers and smartphones but dumber devices like my Brother printer and Wemo light switch can't seem to stay connected or have a really slow connection
    • While it's better than the FIOS connected gateway router, wireless devices still suffer from dropouts and signal fade (attenuation).
    • I've hard wired most internet capable devices in our home (a few smart TVs, 5 4MP IP cameras on direct to disk recording, 2 PCs, 3 laptops, printer, 3 tablets, 3 Roku's, Xbox one s, Vivint home security system and smart devices, and I'll stop there) but still there were likely up to 20-25 WiFi devices connected at once
    • The connection was reasonably fast, and it supported multiple wireless devices well.
    • This was worked around by using a cat 6 Ethernet cable which was less than ideal, but overall, an improvement over my modem/router combined device which dropped connection to everything simultaneously several times a day
    • 10/22/18 still trying to get assistance from TP Link support to find out where to send the defective device for replacement
    • EDIT: customer support promptly RMA'd the device when I emailed them, although their over the phone support is not great
    • no more buffering, my 12 devices work great and my amazon echo linked smart home is awesome
    • Luckily I had my son set it up for me because when I ordered it, I did not realize that a smart phone or similar device was necessary to communicate with it.
    • Either way, I like simple devices that Just Work as much as the next guy, so I was really willing to give this its best chance despite some configuration oddities
    • They said the device was defective
    • This is a fabulous device you set up through an app (bluetooth required.
    • Was having trouble with certain bulbs intermittently falling off the network as well as my Google home devices.
    • I don't really test the max speed - since the devices we use are more limiting than the router's speed capabilities.
    • My device worked out of the box and slowly decayed.
    • If it did a better job moving devices around like my cheaper routers then I would be a keeper.
    • Google OnHub is a great device with ridiculously easy setup
    • So far, no resets, full speed as tested by FIOS tech, and it has been able to support the various WiFi devices in the house simultaneously with no noticeable lag.
    • Sweet device.
    • Also, I couldn't find a WPS button for easy connections to compatible devices, which could be a problem if you own devices that connect exclusively using that protocol.
    • In the time wasted on this unstable device, I've lost enough income to have purchased 3 new ones
    • After a weeks of reasonable operation, out of the blue the device got unstable despite no changes made
    • Within four years, all types of smart home devices have come on the scene
    • WiFi reception in the home is much stronger than with the previous D-Link 655 it replaced (D-Link 655 WiFi radio failed after 4 1/2 years of about 16 hours operation every day).
