The 2.4 G band works just fine, but the 5G band keeps falling out.

But, setup is tricky if you want something other than the default settings, since changes need to be done in a certain order, which is not detailed in any instructions.

Going to test USB NAS speed, and usefulness of the proprietary apps included.3
I'm used to having some kind of web-based configuration UI, but instead the OnHub insists on you installing an unusual custom Google app on your phone.
The app is kind of cool, but not really useful to me I guess.
Bonus, app is super easy to use and very user friendly.
This router blows the socks off of the 6250, and does so with a very easy and user friendly app interface.

If you just need fast wireless connection and won't be using LAN this is a great device but if you plan on using this as main router to wired/wireless devices I would be cautious.
I definately need these devices to work at all times, because I often travel with my job and am not home
Without this feature (which is standard in ALL routers), the device is worthless to me. -
The connection was reasonably fast, and it supported multiple wireless devices well.
no more buffering, my 12 devices work great and my amazon echo linked smart home is awesome

I know it's not my internet because the one that has a hard wire works fine
I've hard wired most internet capable devices in our home (a few smart TVs, 5 4MP IP cameras on direct to disk recording, 2 PCs, 3 laptops, printer, 3 tablets, 3 Roku's, Xbox one s, Vivint home security system and smart devices, and I'll stop there) but still there were likely up to 20-25 WiFi devices connected at once
I needed 3 extra ports for my wired devices like my VoIP, Storage device, and Home Security Camera system.
Everything else works great as long as its hard wired or on the 5G. I just regret buying because it was so expensive yet cannot connect my cell phone
Most of my equipment is hard wired to the unit with Cat6 cables.

This is the first router to handle everything without a problem and it has removed all of the dead spots in the house
I know it is a router problem because I can connect via ftp. using ethernet or my wifi from my Verizon hot spot - but not using the wifi from this router. !!
Went from 40mbps in a dead wifi spot in house to 250mbps.
This blows away my Amped Router that had dead spots in my home and the downloads/ uploads would hang up without warning

I got this because I was having some intermittent problems when I used my computer to do video interviews in the room furthest from my router
Awesome router no problems so far great product.
The problem I experienced is that the router keep freezing/not accessible, had to manually powercyle the device for it to get back on the Internet and host my devices - I reseted the router to default just to make sure that everything was back to square one.
If I could set the channel myself, I could solve the problem, but the router does not support that

After completing installing a external hard drive and making it available to me outside of the network all parental controls quit working.
Other than spending over twice as much for a mesh system that I do not need, and very few have a usb 3.0 port to connect an external hard drive.
I was hoping to plug in an external hard drive and use it for network storage, but that is not an option with this router.
Set it up again and so far everything is working normally with the hard drive attached and in use, and the parental controls are blocking what i need them
Simply put, if you want to use your own external hard drive for "cloud" purposes look elsewhere

One reason I can tell is the fact that after a hard reset, it still won't let us use the 5G network after changing passwords and checking settings for the network.
After a hard reset (or power cycle), it will come back to life.

In May 2018 the router began experiencing intermittent failures with wifi connectivity requiring hard resets to fix, and then repeated failures on LAN ports as well
The only thing that fixes it is a hard reset at the router itself.
