    • My electrical wiring is practically new (rewired 4 years ago) and I’d still lose connectivity
    • AV2 uses hot, neutral, and ground wires for 2xMIMO and beamforming
    • Works very well in my large older home where hard wiring wasn't feasible.
    • It truly is as if we are hard wired to the router
    • use it throughout the house without running wires-fast connection
    • Your best connection is always going to be a hard-wired Ethernet connection, if you have that option
    • This product made hard wiring easy and my speed increased by 5x
    • The only reason I am deducting 1 star (and I may change this later) is that the raw download speed is not quite as fast as a hard wired ethernet connection
    • This is definitely a great solution if you need a hard wired Ethernet connection without running cable.
    • With the advantage of adding in more of the modules as needed for future needs, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to "de-clutter" and clean up their network wiring.
    • With a dedicated line & 4 connections, I lost under 20% of the maximum possible speed with good wire & good connections
    • My office is on the upper floor and I needed hard wired internet connection for my home office
    • Needed a hard wire connection for direct tv(their wireless tech stinks)
    • so I don't have to obscure wires and there is absolutely no difference in speed while also not having a troublesome ethernet cord around my baseboards
    • Coming from a house where I had everything hard wired, I just didn't want to go through that again
    • My house seems to have a lot of bad wiring (certain outlets don't work at all, while others have less obvious issues), so I had to do a lot of trial-and-error -- the TP Link PLC Utility was useful for this -- before finding a setup that would consistently deliver over 100 Mbps
    • if you need a hard wired port.
    • We live in a quad level, so wiring is not easy
    • It works great, as long as you house is wired correctly for it
    • My average latency is < 50 ms, and the lowest I have seen is around 13 ms (but again, it's the same as using a hard wired connection, which is pretty fantastic).ONLINE GAMINGI play online games (StarCraft 2 mainly,
    • I installed one of these babies at the other end of the house with a router for wireless signal and a switch to have hard wire connection over there
    • If the wires are not wound together, you have high resistance and possible wiring issues later ( a friends father who is a retired electrician makes a fortune in his retirement simply re-making these lazy connections in new build houses that have wiring issues). So what I am explaining here is that, to expect 1000Mbps is not realistic outside of a theoretically perfect wiring situation, which is not going to happen in real life
    • so there was no easy way to have my blu-ray installed with a hard-wire connection.
    • I work from home and needed a hard wire from my router, but since my office is down in the basement, running 100ft of Ethernet cord wasn't an option
    • and it remains paired to the base that is hard-wired to the Time Capsule base station.
    • In my home, the walls aren't super thick and my electrical wiring isn't super modern, but powerline nevertheless delivers reliable internet
    • Ran it into an 8 port TP Link switch and now PS4, Media Center, DirecTv are all hard wired now.
    • The wiring in our house must be bad, because when I tried the Netgear PL 1000 the "ethernet" transmission over our wiring was less than I already received over our wireless network.
    • no lag whatsoever and downloads like my main computer hard wired.. love it and the price you can't beat!!!
    • so I would have hoped the electric wiring was sufficient, maybe not
    • A couple years back I moved from a solo apartment in which I had my very own hard-wired connection, to a multiple-party living arrangement where the router has to sit in a middle-ground area where the only option seemed to be wireless.
    • I plugged in both units, turned my device on and it worked as if it was hard-wired to an Ethernet cable
    • Has been just as good as a direct wired cable.
    • Excellent, no-brainer solution for getting hard wired throughout the home.
    • On average, I receive about 50 mbps download speed, but with a hard wired connection I can max out at 70 mbps
    • and I could hard-wire in to achieve a higher Mbps download
    • The wired adapter is much more reliable than when we were running a wireless signal to this device.
    • The hard wired connection
    • If you need to be hard wired but can't get your router near your computer I highly recommend getting this.
    • I bought this to get a hard wired connection out to my detached garage
    • I purchased this product because i wanted to have a strong wired connection for no packet loss but when I plugged this in i was continuing to get 11 MBPS
    • And just like that, I had a flawless wired connection that gets the exact same upload and download speeds as if I was connected directly to the router
    • When i contacted support chat, there best practice for advice was, "its better if you just run a hard wire to where you need"
    • After talking to customer support from TP-Link she determined that the adapters work well with whatever the wires around the house have least interference
    • I live in a brand new home, so old wiring isn't the issue
    • There are so many older houses & new ones with bad wiring in
    • The only reason I am deducting 1 star (and I may change this later) is that the raw download speed is not quite as fast as a hard wired ethernet connection
    • Providing a fast and stable wired connection with the TP-Link took 5 minutes including unpacking it!
    • a LOT on where your modem is, what the wiring in your place is like, and what large appliances stand in your way
    • When I hard wire into this, it's capped at 12 mbps download and 3 mbps upload
    • Somewhat encouraged by this, I moved to another outlet closer to the panel in my basement (again, all new wiring from 2016) and I achieved 2.5 MB/s
    • Works very well in my large older home where hard wiring wasn't feasible.
    • Hard wire is out of the question since it would be so long
    • Gone are the days of crawling in attics and running hard wire
    • But they are EASY to test and if they do work, its a great way to solve internet connectivity issues without running expensive wiring or trying to fight for limited bandwidth with your neighbors
    • MUCH better performance and range (crossing multiple circuit breakers and 1000+ft of wire at 50+Mbps speeds).Devices like this AV500 only use the hot and neutral wire
    • I actually connect a TP-Link unmanaged 5 port switch to these system and run my TV and Apple TV directly off the hard wire connection to eliminate any potential wifi issues.
    • and I watched him hook it up and voila, he has fast hard wired internet at his Xbox
    • I am a diehard fan of these devices and always watch Netflix/ play xbox live with a hard wire for the best connection
    • if your like me the people who built your house didn't bother wiring it with ethernet, making you just use wifi
    • This model was plug and play and for all intents and purposes performed as if the device was hard wired
    • If I lose the signal for some reason, I just simply let it reboot by turning the switch at the router off and then back on (the same as unplugging it, and plugging it back in: once it has initially found its sister component within my homes hard wiring.

    • While these work for what I need them for (Ethernet hard-wire for my work phone), they slow speeds considerably
    • The wiring in my home is excellent, and in the best case scenario I tested the two adapters are on on the exact same breaker, being in the same room, and that room is less than 10 feet from the break box
    • I still use a few in locations I don't want to hard wire that are low data needs
    • and I watched him hook it up and voila, he has fast hard wired internet at his Xbox
    • I haven't tried the Gigabit ones, but if those get me the same download speeds on my computer compared to a hard wired connection, I would definitely consider using some in my office as well just to avoid running a network cable along the wall to reach the router (which I have hidden in the
    • If you don't have the option of tearing holes in your walls or leaving a trail of ugly wires running through your house, than this is the best option.

    • Older wiring in home as well and the speeds I'm getting are more than acceptable.
    • I could also use these to provide a hard-wire link anywhere in the hall.
    • Works perfectly, it feels like both are plugged to the same router using an Ethernet cable, not the garbage I had with the Wireless network, however not everything is perfect, there are two power strips that didn't work with this device, one is this: Belkin BE112230-08 12-Outlet Surge Protector, is a shame because to it I have connected all my gaming consoles and I really want it there, but well I already free up an outlet near the TV so the next units arriving will be plugged there, so I will replace the Laptops and Living room devices connectivity from Wireless to Powerline
