This is an excelent wifi extender for the price

The lady on the phone even told us there are some bad extenders out

I would not use this extender for high speed gaming, but general web browsing and light streaming have been improved by it.

Works great—used as an extender for a detached shop—TPlink app says it should be moved closer to the main router, but the TPlink app seems full of it as it extends WiFi to a previous dead zone with no apparent degradation of the network just fine.

The network signal from the 'extender' is not terribly reliable either, and my original router kept crashing when the extender we connected.

We walked though setting up and the extender is working fine

Came with an older firmware that did not support working as a range extender, so if yours is missing that feature, upgrade to the latest firmware.

The extenders do not stay up (repeatedly losing IP address) and produce a disappointing (almost no) increase in signal strength.
