After trying a couple of cheap travel routers with openwrt and getting dud hardware or mediocre performance and no 80211.ac, I tried this one

I tried more expensive routers, but they only worked well on the 5gHz band, for which I have no need, as I have several thousands of feet cat 5 & 6 strung around the house

Setting in the midway is not working or useless since router is even more powerful then the unit

Now the router is working just fine!

After using it for more than a year, I concluded that this router is not that strong

The router was efficient for about 6 monst

I'm not sure if I got a bad one, or maybe the router is being stupid

This is a great router that works very well and if you run into any issues, the customer service was outstanding when I called their toll free number.

The network signal from the 'extender' is not terribly reliable either, and my original router kept crashing when the extender we connected.

I would spend an extra $10 on a better router if your internet is faster than 100 Mbps, however, if it isn’t, then this will work fine

SO... if you only need 100Mbps (which is fine for a LOT of people), it is a fine and cheap and functional router.

Range is not excellent as well as the connection quality/speed but for the price paid for this extender, its actually cheaper to buy a cheap router and add this product to cover the poor signal spots in your home.

This router makes a loud, high pitched whining noise that is indescribably annoying.

Just be aware if you use it as a repeater (vs AP), try not to use the highest signal strength level because it can interfere with you router.

n’t get it sooner, because now I can finally lay in my bed and watch Netflix and video chat without it breaking up which I couldn’t do before because my router is downstairs
