The drivers were very complicated to install, and caused a BSOD on my PC.Prior to that, the speed of connection was truly terrible.

So if speed is most important to you, you might want to look at some different models.

I did download the latest driver from the TP-Link website but uninstalled it because the native Windows driver worked much better, I.e. faster speed (300 Mbps vs 100 with vendor driver).

That said, for long term usage this wireless adapter tends to overheat and die prematurely while providing fairly unstable wireless speeds

Good range and speed

After reading the other comments about slow speed and poor function, I am going to return this and move onto a name brand device.

Plugged it into my usb and BAM, fastest internet speeds I have ever had.

Ultimately I'm going to stick with a powerline adapter as my long term solution which is getting substantially better speeds.

The signal strength is great (it's located on a computer one floor beneath the router) but the speeds are good enough and it costs less than ten dollars!

My pc is upstairs and my wifi router is downstairs and my speed is fast

After returning the first adapter as defective and getting a second one that did not work either, spending hours on the phone with my ISP and with the other company's tech support (that was no help at all), I finally decided that the fast speed of the other card was making it draw too much power from my USB port, and maybe I needed a slower adapter that would draw less power.

Even the speed is amazing.
