Configuration does require the CD on Windows 7 but installation was trouble free (a great relief for those wary of evil beasts like Netgear's driver installers) and indeed trivial

Pros: noneCons:-Loses connection to internet every five minutes (old adapter had 4/5 bars, this one has 2/5).-Slow as all hell (1/3 my normal download speed and 1/5 my upload rate)

I get a full five-bar signal where I'm at, 'net speed as fast as I can get anywhere else in the house, and when I installed Arch linux, the standard linux driver made it work perfectly
