This card works like a charm

This card is extremely fast and read/write speeds are nearly as quick as the internal SSD.

The fact that was designe specifically for the mac, makes is a great card as it can remain in the SD card reader, flushed with the laptop surface and without the need to remove the card every time you laptop is transported.

I didn't install any fancy drivers or anything, I just plugged the card in, configured dropbox to sync my files there and everything works great

I think this is not so much a problem with the Transcend SD card itself (hence my 4 star rating) but an issue with Apple bootcamp drivers (or Microsoft) that seriously undermines SD cards as a storage expansion option for the Macbook Air.

I've had no issues with my MacBook Air (mid 2012) losing the card-whether in sleep mode or turned off.

The card looks great on my macbook air, its like if there is nothing on the sd slot

This card seemed ideal since the manufacturer claimed it was designed specifically for mac book airs, and physically it does fit very nicely into the sd slot.

Unlike most data disks this SD card doesn't BS on how much storage they give you

However, I'm constantly getting "disk not ejected properly" warnings to the point that the card is worthless to me (even if I didn't mind the warnings I'm not going to risk corrupting my photo library.!)
