Transcend 128GB JetDrive Lite 130 Storage Expansion Card for 13-Inch MacBook Air (TS128GJDL130)

    • I left it as ExFAT and due to this the files take up much more room on the JetDrive than on my hard disk; 40 gig of files ended up taking 70 gig of space on the JetDrive.
    • Thanks to this card, I moved a few large folders like Documents, Pictures and Movies off my hard disk and onto the card.
    • However, I'm constantly getting "disk not ejected properly" warnings to the point that the card is worthless to me (even if I didn't mind the warnings I'm not going to risk corrupting my photo library.!)
    • The consequences were horrible as I saved a few days of data (Because I didn't back up ) as Apple people erased its hard disk to make it functional again
    • solved the problem of never enough hard disk space on my macbook air.

    • Purchased Feb 2017 worked well as a backup disk for Time Machine in my MacBook Air mid 2011 for a few months.
    • I have a 2011 MacBook with only 128 GB of hard disk space.
    • Hi I just checked the data transfer rate using Black Magic Disk Test and it gave me
    • Soon, I began getting warnings about not having enough disk space on the Transcend drive for backups, so I switched to using an external MyPassport drive for backups, and deleted the backup data that was on the Transcend JetDrive
    • Excellent i liked it ...
    • amazing I like it
    • I'm familiar with the max transfer rates for USB 2.0 (about 30-40MBs) but unfortunately my write speed is hovering around a MUCH slower 8MB/s.
