I've been using Compact Flash cards for years, when I upgraded to WIN8 neither of my old Readers would work with the OS, I bought this since I've used Transcends memory cards with no Problems in my DSLRs, this Reader is cheap, And Reliable I have no Complaints with it whatsoever as function goes, it does come with a USB cord but its VERY short.

I like this one because CF cards are guided in correctly, while the one I used to have, the cards didn't fit as well, which eventually led to the pins bending inside.

I inserted the camera compact flash card, opened ZoomBrowser Ex and downloaded all images to my computer hard drive.

It works with older as well as the very newest SD cards.
