Have been using this reader for more than year and it worked just fine with SD cards

this USB 2.0 version unless you want to save a dollar(actually some days this cost more than the faster USB 2.0 backward compatible USB 3.0 reader)

I've been using Compact Flash cards for years, when I upgraded to WIN8 neither of my old Readers would work with the OS, I bought this since I've used Transcends memory cards with no Problems in my DSLRs, this Reader is cheap, And Reliable I have no Complaints with it whatsoever as function goes, it does come with a USB cord but its VERY short.

This is a great little card reader, does just what it needs to do

What they don't tell you is that the nice black card reader comes with a bright white cord - you'd think they could at least give you the proper color cord

A great card reader as most card readers do not have the diagram of the card printed on the surface.

Otherwise a good reader, I only got to test it with SD cards though.

I picked this up to have a portable reader for a few SD cards and MS Pro Duo cards that I have, and it works great.

I particularly needed a good CF card reader, as there seem to not be many inexpensive ones out there.

Good card reader, but it has one flaw: You can only use one of the slots at the same time

I'll put it with my Laptop for on the road use for the Compact Flash Card reader and get a different one with USB 3 and Conpact Flash for my new tower computer.

worked as expected , it is nice small card reader , great for laptops as it does not take so much space , the dimension is less than 3 inched by 1.5 inches

The reader is compact, as is the detachable USB cable which is included (it's about 3" long).It's never had reading/writing issues with my Transcend 16GB CompactFlash and 8GB SDHC cards
