Specifically, the router cannot properly address wireless devices which have a static IP address.

After fooling with this problem for over two hours, I finally wrote down all of the WAN connection parameters (from a reboot after hard reset) and configured the router for a static IP address WITH THE SETTINGS THAT I HAD RECORDED

If I set the portable unit up with a static ip address and manually entered the ip address it would work

The software has all things you will need although I would like to be able to limit access by MAC address vice only IP address

You can setup static IPs to utilize a VPN (if not familiar this would allow you to connect anywhere in the world through the static IP address through the internet which you can connect to your personal network or just use your own personal internet, essentially this is very secure)

I would prefer to have our money refunded as I don’t have much faith that the replacement router will work any better than the first one we had.

Variance (sudden transient dips in signal strength) were especially troublesome while streaming audio/video signals through media devices and “smart” TV’s.
