TRENDnet AC2600 MU-MIMO, Wireless Gigabit Router, Equipped with Beamforming Antennas ideal for extreme 4K streaming and Lag Free gaming, TEW-827DRU

    • The main reason is that I live in a WiFi challenged house where wireless signals encounter more obstacles than the clown car at the circus
    • Three routers in one, easy to use and set up, good signal strength
    • Signal is excellent; even the AC is pretty good!
    • I also live next to a hospital (and their barage of open guest and secured staff wifi signal) and our new neighbor decided to place their router along an exterior facing wall
    • It continually lost the signal and I had to go back to the original router it was to replace.
    • Not enough power for a strong signal outside the home.
    • We have an 1800 sq foot house, the router is in the middle of the house on the second floor and the signal is good through out the house, even in my basement work shop
    • It has an excellent signal output and no drop since I bought it 3 weeks ago
    • Very strong signals on all 3 bands, able to get rid of repeater since this covers the whole house out to the pool.
    • It just works, strong signal and hasn't locked up in the first few days of typical
    • 5Ghz signal is weak
    • Constantly loses signal and has problems, before and after firmware update.
    • I have a older large 2 story home and had trouble with getting strong signal to all of the rooms
    • Expecting it to get a solid signal in a different room is folly
    • Easy to set up and has a strong signal
    • It's constantly losing signal, altogether freezing, and slowing to a halt
    • Good strong signal that made it through all but the farthest levels in our 4 level house.
    • This device has been installed for a couple of months and it has not crashed, locked up or lost signal
    • The signal is consistently strong and covers nearly all of our 80x100 lot.
    • looks cheap, signal strength good, overall performance good
    • I went from having a shaky signal to having a very steady and consistent signal that was faster then before
    • In fact I have gotten poor signal strength from devices trying to connect wirelessly to the router, even when those devices are in the same room as the router anywhere from 5 to 10 feet away
    • reliable signals and craftsmanship
    • Range in a 2br apartment isn't the best to the furthest room, but everywhere else in the house gets great signal.
    • A Netgear R7000 provided a much better signal through a couple of walls and down a floor in my house.
    • The router has a much stronger signal and is much faster than the one it replace
    • * Range is good for a cheap router, the signal is strong and stable enough for streaming HD Amazon Instant videos at: about 40ft from the router through 2 Brick walls and a wood wall
    • I havent used the wireless portion, as ethernet is always better, but it doeshave a pretty good signal
    • Good signal
    • They would show that they were logged into the router and had a strong signal but no internet access
    • (my NetGear signal was very weak there).
    • Every corner of our house (two levels, the router is on the second floor) is covered with a strong signal
    • It goes all around the house and even in the yard with great signal strenth
    • Works great..strong signal...streaming to 2 gaming computers, xbox one and directv all at once and have no problems.
    • done this, I now have solid signal in every inch of my 1600sf home, on both floors.
    • Probably overkill for my application since its in an RV, but always has a very strong signal even in the midst of a lot of other RVs with their own Wifi routers.
    • Setup is very easy and when the signal is transmitting it works well
    • The cheap modem / router supplied by century link couldn't get a decent signal around our two story house.
    • but I haven't noticed the signal being much if any stronger than my old G router.
    • Although the signal was weak in these far to reach areas, it's still better than previous brands that I had experienced with
    • I was expecting the "range" to be better than my previous router, but if anything the signal isn't quite as strong
    • We also never received great signal in our Master
    • Really good signal strength for a small router.
    • I went from having a shaky signal to having a very steady and consistent signal that was faster then before
    • i gave it 4 star but if the signal was great i would definitely give it 5 no question ask.. thanks
    • It's a rock solid signal and is a significant upgrade from the Cisco 150 I had been using
    • tl;drFor under $100, this router's got a gamut of features that satisfies the "basic" need for wired and wireless routing with decent signal strengths (pass through walls & ceilings), to those that need additional settings to meet their "demanding" household's need smarter network traffic assignment (once you set the rules/tweak the allocation correctly)
    • And the signal strength is very good (the router is on the 1st floor and I was getting excellent signal from my 2nd story bedroom, about 100 feet away and through many walls in between)
    • looks cheap, signal strength good, overall performance good
    • Easy to setup, decent parental controls, strong signal.
    • Good connection and great signal.
    • This has a great signal and was easy to setup
    • I would highly recommend this router for people looking for a stronger Wi-Fi signal router for their house.
    • We used to get a weak signal at the pool from the Comcast, but generally get no signal from the TRENDnet (using 2.4 GHz N)
    • Range could be better (I get low signal on the other side of my 2-bedroom apartment)
    • However, the device has much stronger Wi-Fi signal then my previous ASUS
    • In fact it's signal was stronger than my
    • I was getting great signal about 80 feet away through walls
    • BUT when they work , they have a nice long range signal and fast speeds
    • WHOLE HOUSE GETS GREAT SIGNAL NOW
    • Very strong and consistent WiFi signal.
    • The 2.4G channel has a much 'stronger' signal which will allow connection in my driveway 70 feet and several interior/exterior walls away, but it is noticeably slower than 5G connections
    • I live in a 2000 square-foot house half upstairs have downstairs and when I venture up I lose the signal.
    • I think the fact my laptop receives that signal is pure luck because nothing else uses that signal
    • Quick set-up and provides a strong signal.
    • otherwise the signal has been strong and steady all this time
    • At at the other end of a fairly large house, the slower band provides a more stable signal than the faster band
    • Yes, I get a perfect signal on the weakest band with a router set-up in the worst place you can imagine.
    • The TEW-827DRU shows a tangible increase in relative signal strength as I did a walk-through from room to room and an especially stronger signal in the more remote rooms.
    • Very good signal strength
    • No reboots, reliable wifi signal for several months now.
    • My old RT-N16 just can not handle video streaming on 4~6 devices at the same time and there are always a few spots with poor signal around house
    • We have a couple of computers in an office above our stand alone garage and they receive a pretty good signal from out there.
    • This device sends out a strong wireless signal
    • Signal strength also an issue
    • Have no problem getting signal throughout my house and in my garage / yard.
    • Likely wouldn't be able to get good signal across a mid-sized house, especially through walls, etc.
    • We now can't get a good signal one floor upstairs and about 25 away horizontally (so about 40 ft away)
    • The 5GHZ signal is weaker than my Netgear R6300 that this replaced
    • This seems to have a lot of options, good signal strength and UPnP actually works!
    • Getting full speed with this one, signal is good, everything has been stable and working properly
    • I could connect throughout the house (although I learned where the signal was stronger or weaker)
    • There are no external antennas with this unit; in my case I would have appreciated having some as I have always found that by judiciously tweaking the orientation of the antennas I can get a better signal
    • We are getting a very good signal in our 2 story 2400 square foot house and I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
    • The signal stays strong throughout the house (two levels, 2700 sf total).
    • Simple setup, and sends a super strong signal.
    • With either router, I get full bars/strong signal for my Android tab nearby
    • not good signal strength
    • Only buy this router if you have good internet speeds, and find that having a multi-signaled connection beneficial for you due to having many devices constantly connected
    • Poor signal strength works well otherwise
    • Works great and strong signal.
    • Very strong signal.
    • The best accessible place for a router in our home is in a closet, but despite the less-than-optimal location, the router delivers a strong signal throughout our house, even at 5.0 Ghz
    • I still use the TRENDnet TEW-731R as my main router and I have setup the D-Link DIR-655 in the closet of my bedroom in the center of the house and connected a Belkin Universal Wireless HDTV Adapter, that I was using for the XBOX 360 in my bedroom, to turn the router into a network relay, so now my whole house gets a good WiFi signal(note that when I bought the HDTV Adapter it cost half as much)
    • It's 2x faster and gives me a nice, strong signal in my bonus
    • It seems powerful enough and sends a strong signal
    • I don't live in a very big house and my wireless signal was super weak with this router.
    • Strong signal, fun design, and fast delivery
    • It produces a stronger signal that will reach upstairs from the first floor where the router is based, the signal stays strong throughout the house.
    • It does exactly as its supposed to do: create an adequate Wi-Fi signal for the multitude of my devices that need to be connected to the internet
    • Average throughput right now is 1MB/s, although it has operated as fast as 10MB/s at times.
    • Variance (sudden transient dips in signal strength) were especially troublesome while streaming audio/video signals through media devices and “smart” TV’s.
    • We have two iPhones, two iPads, two laptops, one desktop, a Surface Pro4, smart TV’s and smart thermostat
    • As of today I have the following WiFi-enabled devices at home: 2 Smart TV’s; 5 Smartphones; 3 wireless tablets; 3 laptops; a graphics desktop computer; 3 wireless TiVo’s; 5 wireless printers; a WiFi garage door opener; a WiFi thermostat; two types of video security systems plus a WiFi enabled perimeter alarm system; a WiFi multi-room audio system; 3 digital cameras that utilize WiFi, 2 Harmony WiFi remote control systems and yes even more.
    • since i change my old router with this one i no longer have coverage problems inside my house
    • Most important I no longer get any dropped connections or lag and speeds are super fast and flawless
    • I replaced an Arris TG852G modem/router and really miss how you could hover your cursor over an
    • Downside is not enough indicator lights (wifi 2/5G, wired connection).
    • Sometimes I'd lose connection on one of 5G/2.4G and switching to another solves the problem.
    • The 5g doesn't travel thru walls as well as the 2.4g but works on the newer tech ok
    • Half of my devices are now on the AC band, while the other half are on the N band which works out great
    • I would prefer to have our money refunded as I don’t have much faith that the replacement router will work any better than the first one we had.
    • Her laptop is likewise as fast as it was if not faster.
    • The speeds on the 5 g network are as fast as when I'm wired up
