some outlets on battery back-up, others just on surge protection

Like most ups, half of the outlets are surge and battery backup, the other half are just surge protection.

Now the surge protection only side is great for things like speakers and printers, but if you plug your computer into the wrong side, you won't get the battery backup feature.

Excellent low cost rack mount UPS to protect through short power outages, I use it to protect Elan g! home automation systems, I would be even better if it included a few high capacity outlets with only surge protection and power conditioning to be used with power amplifiers.

The battery/surge protection side has a set of three plugs and one separate, this last one supposedly for a brick.
