So far, the Tripp Lite has worked well, providing power to my computer during several power 'blinks'.

This is a pretty UPS unit, as some reviewers have noted, but when the going gets tough, the Tripp Lite Omni 900 LCD craps out

We prefer the Tripp Lite because it does equally well without the noise.

Normally the Tripp Lite is quiet as a mouse; during the power failure it emitted warning beeps but they weren't grossly loud

Consistent with several other postings here, my 2 year old Tripp Lite SMART 1000 recently started to randomly shut down too.
