So far, the Tripp Lite has worked well, providing power to my computer during several power 'blinks'.

However, capacity, functions and smoothing out power to my high end components worked very well through a power outage.

While the unit worked reliably for about 18 months, the LCD screen suddenly died and is now completely blank.

My TrippLite quit without warning and lost my work.

I wanted a rack mountable one for my Cisco network gear today while working on my lab power was lost to this ups while it was still plugged in.

Update on September 28, 2012:The display is currently working, but has stopped and started working a number of times during the months I have owned the unit.

My breakers keep flipping and it corrupting my OS files, and causing me to lose unsaved work

I have lost a tv to surges and this little unit has been working great for 3+ years.

Delivery was prompt and item works as expected.

After two months of use with the new battery, my OmniPlus1000LCD hasn't shut off again!Bottom line is, these Tripp Lites work OK when the internal battery is in good working order, but will really tick you off when the thing shuts off with no warning when it decides the battery needs

This UPS may not have been perfect, as it seems that a USB port on my monitor failed (the LCD screen works), but it fared the best of all of my surge protectors and UPSes

I've worked in IT support for 10 years, and have not ever had a problem with Tripp Lite products, and I used to recommend them to my friends and clients regularly

The device has worked flawlessly, im happy to know my tv is safe.

These units have been dependable work horses.
