Tripp Lite 1500VA Smart UPS Battery Back Up, 900W Rack-Mount/Tower, LCD, AVR, USB, DB9 (SMART1500LCD)

    • It is fortunate that before the display stopped working I was able to configure the device to indicate that it had an external battery attached and show estimated battery run times accordingly
    • Love the display.
    • I have replaced about 60 batteries, around 11 volts (according to a Fluke voltmeter--NOT the internal inaccurate display), which is when we discovered they fail to power a small PC for more than 15 seconds
    • Update on June 10, 2012:The display is working again, without any action on my part (at least none that I am aware of).
    • large numeral LCD display useful in monitoring just how instable and fluctuating AC power can be depending on where you live
    • I wish I could switch the orientation of the LED display though, because when mounted in the rack, it reads sideways.
    • The display is nice if you want to see what's going on at the moment.
    • Nice display, good construction and not bulky
    • I bought this one over others like it for its extra battery protected outlets, the display, and the power it puts out
    • I don't know if this is a physical display failure, a display circuitry failure, or a firmware bug in the microprocessor controlling the display
    • Update on September 28, 2012:The display is currently working, but has stopped and started working a number of times during the months I have owned the unit.
    • The display is great to know the status of the unit.
    • I like the display and the ability to rotate it which I did so that I could lay the unit on its side
    • Good display
    • The unit was great for two weeks then the display became unreadable.
    • Also, if you are using these in a home theater environment, where it will be visible, I do like that you could choose to linearly dim the display (slide dimmer switch) or pop it out and rotate it 90 degrees so it can sit vertical or horizontal
    • A control to dim the display would have been a nice addition
    • Works fine and the display is great.
    • FreeBSD and MidnightBSD to panic as it thinks it's an input device (mouse etc
    • Computer worked as before
    • Beware as they just shut off and never turn back on again.
    • This time the unit worked as it should, display showed full charge, and with a two hour power failure earlier this week it ran gave me time to shut the system down
    • Great Product worked perfect A+++
