It is solid metal and has tabs for screws or has keyhole mounts on the back.

Nice sturdy unit, and the plugs seem unusually high quality.

I just wanted solid, reliable power connection, and this unit is perfect.

I'm not sure how long the plastic switch cover will hold up with repeated use, especially in cold weather, but these units are well worth the extra cost.

If you are looking for outlets for heavy electric usage product such as multi media ( TV, Amps, Mixer) and place (garage), this is the most reliable outlet out there.

I found the plugs on some of my tools are fat and obstruct adjacent outlets.

I just needed a good sturdy outlet to work off of and this fits the bill perfectly.

For the time being, each time I use the switch I have to open the clear plastic cover, which is not too convenient.

I really like the cover on the switch because now I won't accidentally bump it and turn everything off (yes, it has happened before)

My only gripe is there is a clear plastic cover over the switch that snaps shut to protect the switch

Also, the power strip I received has a protective switch cover that is not pictured either.

I like the cover for the power switch as well, because of it's mounted location on a table leg I could accidentally turn it off if it didn't have a cover.

However, unless you really need this sort of capacity, there are less expensive strips available that might save you some money

The cover on the switch is a nice touch to prevent accidental power downs (or ons).

It would have been nicer if it had surge suppression, but it was not advertised as such so I can't blame them for that.

This strip is simple, too, without any surge suppression circuitry with MOVs that will eventually burn out.

You don't really need surge suppression for circular saws, anyway, and you can always plug this into a ZeroSurge, SurgeX or Brick Wall if you want protection for expensive electronics.
