A push of a button turns on my desk light, my printer, etc., while maintaining power to my monitor and computer along with surge protection--my choice of operations

This unit, besides providing surge protection, allows me to reset the item without having to crawl under my desk

I like the ability to have all peripheral devices controlled by an easy to access switch assembly, that also has a moderate amount of surge protection.

I wanted this product to make it easier to turn all of my components on and off without having to open or close each one separately and the surge protection is an added bonus

The most important fact is the surge protection.

Along with surge protection, this device allows you to turn on/off printer, monitor, and two auxiliary outlet plugs of your choice (I use Aux #1 for my speakers)

Also, appreciate the status light for each outlet and surge protection light

Reasonably priced, a good feel to the switches, nice looking, surge protection

I urge you not to rely on the Tripp Lite for surge protection

However, I expect that the unit will have sufficient surge protection capabilities to protect my computer equipment.

An added benefit, of course, is surge protection for all devices that is more powerful than can be obtained from a power strip.

It also provides additional electrical surge protection which is needed here in Florida with our ligtening storms.
