Tripp Lite HDMI over Dual Cat5/Cat6 Extender Wall Plate Kit with Transmitter and Receiver, TAA (P167-000)

    • I could also talk myself that the new installation is slightly better than the previous, but the change would be pretty small by mere observation.
    • I was nervous about it after reading the reviews, but the sense I got from most of the negative reviews seemed to focus on improper installation, trying to make the run too far or didn't match the cable lengths close enough
    • The next day I finished the installation by stuffing the cables into the wall and securing the plate
    • I wanted to run HDMI to it from the back of the room, a distance of over 35 feet, traveling by the walls and the attic, but also wanted to use wall plates on both ends to make for a neater installation
    • The installation worked fine on the first try and gets back to the original tidy look with wall plates on both ends of the cable run.
    • My installation is fairly straightforward
    • Neat installation.....would buy again.
    • The installation was not as easy as it should be as the instructions provide absolutely no useful information and there are a couple things about the device that made the install somewhat non-intuitive.
    • Works like a champ...with the right installation
    • It is a bit complicated, and I suspect that faulty installation, NOT faulty manufacturing, is to blame for most of the negative reviews.
    • You just punch down A to A, B to B.They give you a cheap punch down tool with the package--i didn't use this, as i have a professional punchdown tool, but the punch down tool they give you has a nice little wire stripper in it to remove the outside sheath from the cat6.Very nice product.
    • I needed to extend one of my cable boxes from the other room as I didn't want to pay for another box, was doubtful of running it through my cat5 cable runs in my house over almost 50 feet of cable, but these little boxes exceeded my expectation for picture quality, have it connected to a 49" lcd tv and looks as good as if it was plugged in directly to the cable box.
