I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to have a nice clean look in their entertainment systems.

I really like this solution, because in addition to working perfectly, the wall plates are easy to install, provide a clean look and don't require power like some other extenders do.

In conclusion, the combination of this product being a little expensive in relation to competition, and the base plates not reflecting the extra coin you have to drop on this to get the finished, wifey approved look, knocked this down to a 3 star.

I already had cat5e cable in my walls between the stereo and the TV (about 40 ft worth

Initial setup was over 120 ft, however intermittent signal loss, luckily was able to eliminate about 35ft of excess cabling, work perfect after that.

some times it will work for hours without dropping, other times it will drop the signal 4-5 times per minute.

Plugged the local on the source side and the remote on the viewing side and it worked like a charm the first time

The picture is perfect and allows me to place my computer where I want in the room.

Having put the phone down, I cycled the power on the HR23 and there it was, perfect HD picture @ 1080i!

Use this for satellite tv over a 50 foot run of cat6 cable and the picture is great ONLY with the Digital HDMI Voltage Inserter sold elsewhere on Amazon

You just punch down A to A, B to B.They give you a cheap punch down tool with the package--i didn't use this, as i have a professional punchdown tool, but the punch down tool they give you has a nice little wire stripper in it to remove the outside sheath from the cat6.Very nice product.

Better instructions or a more intuitive install would have made for a 5 review from me.

Of course both units (sender and receiver) aren't typically broken, but diagnosing which unit is broken is impossible, so ordering a new pair is the only way to ensure you're going to have everything you need to get your AV system (or whatever these are supporting) is back up and running

The powered one is working great to send an HDMI signal from a professional video camera to a professional projector without fail or flaw.

Install document needs some updates but onablesce installed the HDMI signal works great across the Cat6 cables No need to buy pre-terminated cables

The next day I finished the installation by stuffing the cables into the wall and securing the plate

I needed to extend one of my cable boxes from the other room as I didn't want to pay for another box, was doubtful of running it through my cat5 cable runs in my house over almost 50 feet of cable, but these little boxes exceeded my expectation for picture quality, have it connected to a 49" lcd tv and looks as good as if it was plugged in directly to the cable box.

I installed this kit using two 35-foot 23AWG shielded CAT6 cables, and it provides excellent picture quality.

Very Poor Quality, others dont require you to set the gain for cable length... and get this for a 7ft cable it needed the gain about 1/3!

They describe problems when untwisting the wires at the ends to make the connections and in general the poor quality of bulk CAT 6 cable

These wall plates get a lot of questionable reviews, and I was hesitant to order.

It is a bit complicated, and I suspect that faulty installation, NOT faulty manufacturing, is to blame for most of the negative reviews.
