Unlike a lot of converters, the keyspan keeps its com port number regardless of which USB port you plug it into

I do not know if their design or software is better, but we try a lot of these and only Keyspan is consistent in working.

And, the Keyspan doesn't use cheap chinese knock-off or reused chips either.

I recommend the Keyspan adapter for a good serial to usb adapter.

As a matter-of-fact it is the only rs232-to-usb I would recommend as it is the only one I tried that actually worked!!

I plugged in my serial devices to the Keyspan and they worked just as they did when I plugged them in directly to a serial port
