I've used Turbo Tax for years and this is the first year that I've really been concerned that it may create an inaccurate return due to software bugs

They still have not figured out how to put together an accurate state income tax return.

TurboTax just makes completing and filing a simple return so much easier and cheaper

Would be nice if the "Free State return" also included the cost to e-file the state return rather than being a separate charge.

When he finished asking for information, he would say come back in 5 days and your return will be ready to file

If you have a simple return with investment and rental income and would like to e-file it yourself, then this is the version of TurboTax to go for.

Filing online is easy, and the self-checks that the tool performs before filing give me confidence that our returns are correct.

It is easy to and have not had any returns rejected as incomplete and had any other issues to-datae.

Its interview system acts as a checklist where you respond to questions with data entry, and is useful if you are not used to doing your own taxes (and helps you to avoid oversights, even if you are experienced), Software allows you to complete multiple returns, useful for "what if" exercises

Nothing more satisfying to me than doing my own darned tax work, and this edition of Turbo Tax is extremely well-suited to complex returns.

If you answer questions correctly it does a great job on doing a correct return.

Good for moderately complex returns, e.g., extensive deductions, real estate transactions, brokerage accounts, IRAs, etc

I am past the return date and very frustrated to have something I cannot even use.

However, I always forget when it is advertised FREE STATE RETURN, that the program part is free but filing is not.

so I like that I can do more than one Federal Return.

If you're not a CPA and want to tackle filing your taxes on your own, software is a must to get the most accurate return.

I don't have to understand when and why I might need Alt Min or the extra schedules required for a rather uncomplicated return.

It says it includes 1 free state file, but I see no free state return at all, and the state filing fee is 24.99, not 19.99 written on the package

It only included the free federal e-filing and not the state

Turbo Tax 2017 for taxes will be perfect, easy, and Federal E-file for taxes!

My beef with TurboTax is that they advertise FREE e-filing if you meet some criteria
