Turtle Beach - Ear Force Elite 800 - Premium Fully Wireless Gaming Headset - DTS Headphone:X 7.1 Surround Sound - Noise Cancellation - Superhuman Hearing - PS4, PS3, and Mobile Devices

    • The sound quality is really good and the presets are fun.
    • I'm not an audiophile, so I can't pick out the differences between the presets that well,
    • There's another 12-18+ presets available for music, stereo sound, movie watching
    • However, for about the same price, id like the 800 more due to the extra features like Bluetooth and those many customizable presets
    • The different presets for wach mode really do work and there is a noticable in each one which is great
    • Holding this button down cycles through different available mic presets (more on that below)
    • Some games have 3+ presets available (like COD), others have zilch
    • Again, the presets are great and really change the way the music is presented-Easily pairs to two devices for simultaneous
    • But if they do, it just means you need to find the right preset for that particular game or audio
    • I honestly love this headset it has it all, Bluetooth, great battery life, tons of presets, great sound quality and most of the elite 800 has amazing surround sound
    • But even with the app, the custom preset library available for gaming is extremely lacking
    • ,The Quality is sturdy and very tight , it doesn't feel too heavy it has just the right amount of weight that is comfortable for most users ,the build it's not cheap quality at all , very thick strong plastic material with some metal inside it .On each side of the headsets there are controls for Volume & Preset Features and Noise Cancellation witch works like a charm
    • A couple downsides However are buggy software (very rarely), weak wireless signal (if you step outside the room with the headset) and a lack of user created presets
    • Wonderful presets especially the footstep preset which gives a huge advantage in shooter games
    • Lightweight, very comfortable, nice presets that work great with first person shooters
    • Both headsets claim to be 7.1 but where the A50’s are much louder the 800’s, the 800’s shine in the quality and clarity of sound
    • First I am going to touch on the Astro A50’s and their positives that out weight the 800’s
    • I will update in a years time on these with further thoughts on these elite 800’s
    • These to me are the features that outshine the 800’s when directly comparing the two.1
    • I got some ear covers (to replace the plates on there now) and a free t-shirt
    • If not for the discomfort issue, I may have kept the set I tested, especially with the goodies that come with the Elite program, beginning with a 24 month warranty, concierge phone number, free t-shirt or hoody, and two free sets of custom ear plates.
