TYT TH-9800 Quad Band 50W Cross-Band Mobile Car Ham Radio Black

    • This radio is very intuitive and is really fun to operate and have access to four great ham bands, aircraft and 800Mhz scanning functions!Too bad there is no AM transmit on the 29Mhz band! The Quad band antenna that came with the radio works like a dream! It is so nice to be able to go to any of the four bands with no hassles!I programmed FRS, MURS and many of the FM ham bands I love working on the way to work
    • First looking for a good quad band antenna, good luck.
    • First looking for a good quad band antenna, good luck.
    • I went looking for an inexpensive quad band for my daily driver and the TYT TH-9800 fits the bill nicely
    • I do like having all 4 bands
    • Easy return (pending) & I immediately ordered the correct "quad band model".It arrived Sunday morning
    • Otherwise I think it will be a good first quad band for some folks.
    • Love the radio but wasted two bands
    • Will work cross-band, so I bought it to use on the micro-satellites, namely SO-50 and AO-85, but also interested in working 10-meter DX repeaters now that the sun-spot cycle is peaking.
    • They are pretty decent dual band transceivers (2M & 70CM)
    • They do handle the GMRS, FRS, PMR, & HAM frequencies, with a good dual band antenna
    • Would recommend to anyone who wants a good quality not overly expensive dual band radio.
    • For a while it was delightful to use and I felt smug in the fact that I had a good high powered quad band radio for roughly half the price of a "big name" radio.
    • Nice quad-band radio.
    • a good quad band antenna out there for mobile
    • So far, the transceiver is working as it should.
