The software is the easiest and quickest way to program it, but I don't think it works as well as CHIRP

CHIRP is easier to work with and is more logically laid out

It appears to have been worked out, though, because I used Chirp again the other day to make changes and it worked just fine

It programmed with the cable and software I purchased and with the readily available free software CHIRP
