TYT TH-9800 Quad Band 50W Cross-Band Mobile Car Ham Radio Black

    • My friend says he couldn't be happier and that the radio works great and better than expected
    • I am able to monitor air band, CB, 800 mhz, public safety & commercial uhf/vhf, as well as work the ham bands.
    • So far, this TYT Quad Band is working just great.
    • This radio is very intuitive and is really fun to operate and have access to four great ham bands, aircraft and 800Mhz scanning functions!Too bad there is no AM transmit on the 29Mhz band! The Quad band antenna that came with the radio works like a dream! It is so nice to be able to go to any of the four bands with no hassles!I programmed FRS, MURS and many of the FM ham bands I love working on the way to work
    • I feel that the issues will eventually be worked out, and as it is , it is a bargain
    • Well looked to be a good radio, used it for 3 months then antenna broke so switched it to a dual band antenna, was working decent for a few months
    • The radio worked good for two weeks then stopped transmitting
    • It is working well, so far.
    • I thought being this was the plus model all the bugs had been worked out
    • x-band repeater works very well, easy to use.
    • But it has worked really well especially with the Diamond CR-8900 antenna on my pickup truck
    • UHF/VHF works well enough.
    • Easy to use after reading the manual works wonderful if I needed another radio I would buy this exact radio again
    • Out of 3 of these radios I have, 2 worked perfectly out of the box, the 3rd was problematic
    • but it is a great value and works like the ft 8900
    • Good working 2M frequency
