• Reviews around gui (3.20 of 5)

Ubiquiti EdgeMax EdgeRouter Lite ERLite-3 512MB Memory 3 Ethernet Ports Router

    • Another issue is that the GUI only supports setting up a PPTP server while the CLI lets you configure L2TP also, what's strange though is if you setup L2TP w/IPSEC in the CLI then it becomes available in the GUI
    • The GUI is nice but most of the great features are only accessible in the CLI.
    • "unlock."My only complaint is that, because the GUI and firmware are a work-in-progress, some of the features need to be modified from the CLI.Ubiquiti has a very good forum where information is abundant and easy to come by
    • Safari on Mac OS X 10.6.8 simply does not display certain critical GUI elements, which is disorienting
    • The GUI isn't as user friendly as I would like, but you can do just about anything you want from the CLI.
    • I love the GUI and it's nice to know the CLI is there if I need more advanced functionality.
    • Sure the GUI is nice and allows you do most of the usual setup anything more complicated like load balancing WAN's and setup up HTTPS WAN priority and such requires the use of either doing it manual via the CLI or a modified config file, which would be fine if you were experienced with this thing.
    • Configuration is more complicated than your typical Linksys router, as the GUI is limited, especially when configuring VPN's.
    • The GUI is fair for home router purposes and probably less friendly than just about
    • It is 3 times more expensive than Lite, but it is much easier to setup and manage using GUI
    • My only complaint so far is the GUI, as other people have pointed out, is a work in progress
    • Wish the gui was a little more mature
    • Ubiquiti continues to update the firmware for this device and the GUI has become easier and easier to work with
    • The GUI itself does look nice, but it uses flash which I don't personally care for, as it impacts my ability to use the interface across mobile platforms
    • I would say the GUI is still lacking a bit and is not able to configure all of the advanced features however the GUI is quite capable of configuring all of the basic functions.
    • All features, including incredibly powerful ones, are available in the GUI on their other devices (some of which I've posted brief reviews on here at Amazon, all of which I've been exceedingly happy with). On this device, probably because of it's Vyatta underpinnings, it doesn't seem like Ubiquiti has finished the GUI yet.
    • I don't believe that the GUI is refined enough for the average home user, but it appears to be getting there.
    • fast & reliable routerupdated gui can help beginer use!
    • they provide an excellent GUI interface - frankly the best of any consumer router I have ever seen, they are short when it comes to Wizards that will help you with anything out of the ordinary.
    • They give you a very nice GUI (better than what you get w/your average Linksys/Cisco device IMO) but more important, you get access to the underlying Linux OS
    • GUI.The GUI is awfully limited to very basic functions
    • The online GUI is a bit lacking, but good for simple configurations
    • The GUI is not like a home router, and I didn't expect it to be, from the prior reviews here
    • The GUI isn't bad, but this is no Linksys/D-Link product.
    • Forget the WebUI/GUI because its just not very intuitive
    • The online GUI is a bit lacking, but good for simple configurations
    • Downside is it lasted 6 months before the flash corrupted & started getting I/O errors.
