Ubiquiti EdgeMax EdgeRouter Lite ERLite-3 512MB Memory 3 Ethernet Ports Router

    • I've installed several of these devices and all have resulted in robust and stable network connectivity at all sites.
    • Paired it with a UAP-PRO and all the people living at my house can do what they want when they want online without fear of slowing down the network.
    • And since the OS is based on Vyatta, I can spend time learning the CLI and really fine tuning my network
    • you're not a DIY person or have limited / mediocre networking knowledge
    • My network is rock solid now.
    • It comes with 3 ethernet ports and can be configured as a standard router, or to provide two separate secure networks.
    • Easy to set up; my entire network performs dramatically better
    • This is what I always wanted to have at home as an IT professional with a decent (but maybe slightly rusty) networking background.
    • As other reviewers point out this router isn't really geared towards consumers who don't have a decent networking background
    • My network has never been better or faster.
    • Things like enabling "the firewall" are not as straight forward as AirOS.The up-side of this device, even for home use, is that it can be implemented in many useful ways.- 2 Internet connections can be used to feed one powerful network, or to provide redundancy / failover when one carrier goes down
    • I bought a Ubiquiti UniFi AP Enterprise WiFi System Long Range and Edgemax - 3 Ethernet Ports - 1 Gigabit Router with the plan to have a rock solid home network running a central AP that could serve the entire house.
    • This is the router for those that want to dive into more advanced networking concepts and setup super-reliable enterprise-quality networks
    • This router pairs great with the D-Link 8-port managed gigabit switch (DGS-1100-08) which also is a great find for superb yet inexpensive home/SOHO networking that you can really control, tune, and monitor.
    • But for now, I have the fastest network I've ever had
    • Pair this with a Ubiquiti access point or two and you have a very solid network
    • Update: I got another to re-do my network as well.
    • But if you like to tinker and enjoy networking, you'll have fun with this one!
    • The other benefit to committing with the CLI is that you can make a bunch of changes that may otherwise break your network in some way if you were to do them step by step in the GUI.You can also discard all of your changes by typing "exit discard"ConclusionI highly recommend this router
