Electronic devices do not like high temperatures since they can really shorten the lifespan of a device

Good layer two device if you need

Very nice switch; probably worthwhile to consider going with 16 or 24 port versions for the modest incremental price; 8 ports get burned up pretty quick once you start adding APs and other miscellaneous network devices

Running the software will allow you to discover and configure the Switch8 device to work with your current network or you can configure a whole new network
