• Reviews around ap (4.01 of 5)

Ubiquiti Networks Unifi 802.11ac Dual-Radio PRO Access Point (UAP-AC-PRO-US)

    • It's a great AP.
    • The app to install/manage the AP is pretty easy to use, though I've heard others complain.
    • It is a good AP point but you should not expect to get crazy speeds on this, I get around 280-300 down and 400 up on a galaxy s10 my ISP is google fiber (900+/900+ wired)
    • If you are looking for a great AP that will give all your users stable, reliable and consistent (slow) speeds, then look no further
    • I obviously haven't had it long enough to see whether it holds up, but right now I'd recommend this to anyone needing a good AP.
    • This AP has been rock solid for many months at my house.
    • I have many wifi systems and these are hands down the most powerful ap's I have had.
    • A enterprise, affordable AP
    • I love these AP's
    • I woke up this morning and the AP was dead--no power at all, even though my network cabinet is protected by an APC enterprise UPS.
    • Little sweet AP.
    • Other than that, it is a an excellent AP for the price
    • I had to remove a cheap AP because the controller kept identifying it as a rogue device.
    • Highly recommend this AP.
    • A friend recommended this AP to me after I was having trouble with my Verizon home WiFi
    • Ubiquiti really created a great AP.- Quick to setup and adopt to my existing AP's- Band Steering works great- no more separate 2.4 and 5ghz
    • I'm running it without any network management, just as a dumb AP, so can't speak to all the fancy features, but it works great for what I need.
    • Super nice AP with all the features
    • awesome AP by Unifi/Ubiquiti
    • The AP-AC and Cloud Key also come with a separate power brick if you can’t, or choose not to, utilize the PoE capabilities of these devices
    • You don't need to get the cloud controller or the gateway suggested in the user manual, you just need a router (you probably have one) and you will need to hard wire (with ethernet cable, cat 5, 5e, or 6) from the router to where ever you mount this magical AP.
    • Great AP's, but check the price!
    • GREAT WiFi AP.
    • I added a second AP to guarantee blanket coverage and now I have 5/5 bars all over my house and 2-3 bars in those aforementioned troublespots
    • This is my new go to recommendation for friends who ask what AP I recommend for them (Maybe the UAP-AC-LITE model instead of the PRO)
    • Overall, the AP is very reliable and provides great range
    • Overall I highly recomend this AP.
    • Like most Ubiquiti products, these AP's are great
    • I absolutely love this AP!
    • This AP is excellent
    • The AP is easy to set up and easy to integrate within a network
    • I also needed to supplement this with a cheap $20 802.11ac upgrade mini AP.
    • I highly recommend these AP.
    • So instead of dumping over $100 into a more costly combo router/AP on the off chance that it might be better than the others, I decided to finally do it right.
    • This Unifi AP would like to have a controller (Ubiquiti hardware) and a Ubiquiti security gateway.
    • I've since purchased an Archer C7 combo switch/router/AP, on which I disable the DHCP and routing (as I have a standalone router that is superior), and I do not have any of these association issues.
    • it can be a pain to 'adopt' the AP with a new controller and not lose its settings
    • I love this AP, great service experience and all ubiquity interfaces
    • This AP is amazing
    • I bought this AP for my home, and it works great.
    • love this AP, now my mobile devices are just as fast as my wired devices
    • I thought with the range of 400 feet and inside a 2400 sqare foot house with regular walls this AP would still be very strong...noticeably stronger than my router
    • Trimming some unnecessary fluff, adding some recommended settingsThis is a great AP
    • Great AP, plug and play
    • Combining this AP with the UBNT POE edgerouter for load balancing and fail-over for my two internet connections is full of win.
    • Excellent AP!
    • This is a great AP, pretty much anywhere you can drill a hole for your Ethernet cable you can place this device
    • The AP on the other hand - speeds were horrible
    • Overall it is a very fast AP, but if your house is
    • But this AP had certain limitations that made it just an interesting gimmick.
    • Overall a great AP.
    • Not sure what happened to this company, but when I say this is the worst AP I have ever dealt with, that doesnt even come close to describing my frustration with it.
    • I highly recommend this AP.
    • Good ap , takes knowledge to set up
    • Our other AP's are Ciscos (AIR-SAP-1602E-A-K9) that were almost 3 times the price
    • Great AP made even better when paired with the free wireless controller -- use on a laptop or install on a Raspberry Pi for easy anytime access.
    • From an installation standpoint, for laying out multiple AP's and tweaking their positions for premium coverage, this Ubiquity controller provides a wonderful feature (This feature is my favorite): You can upload a scaled drawing or map of your desired coverage area or building and drag the AP onto the map to see where best to position the device
    • In conclusion: a really nice wireless AP for a tech-savvy person who wants a lot of control over a home network, or even an enterprise network.
    • Works great as an AP, great coverage and reliability/uptime is superb
    • A great Wireless WiFi AP
    • I woke up this morning and the AP was dead--no power at all, even though my network cabinet is protected by an APC enterprise UPS.
    • Really nice AP!!!
    • The reviews are not off the mark: this WiFi AP is fabulous.
    • I love the whole setup and this AP performs stellar
    • Very capable AP with enterprise management capabilities.
    • Pretty good AP.
    • So now I have an expensive AP that is useless.
    • good AP
    • Great ap for the price
    • This is a fantastic AP
    • Great AP for the price.
    • If you don't have more than 50 clients, any AC Router will outperform this AP by a mile
    • Fantastic AP - worth x10 the money
    • Excellent ap, especially if you have the entire unifi series
    • This AP is worth it
    • I would recommend this ap to anyone for any scale deployment or even just for home use.
    • I purchased this AP to improve the wireless in my home.
    • I will never buy another consumer AP.I own an hostel and this AP support lot of customers with no flaws
    • I highly recommend this AP
    • and I constantly had to turn off wifi and re-turn on for it to jump on the right AP and get normal speeds
    • If I provision with one computer and open ubiquiti software on a different computer it will try to provision the ap and fail
    • I love this AP.
    • Great price on a very solid AP choice.
    • Outstanding AP at a low price point
    • Overall an excellent enterprise ap for the price.
    • Easily the best AP I've ever dealt with
    • Overall it is a pretty good AP.
    • A WAP that only works for a couple of years and then fails (and is not replaced by the vendor) is not a good, reliable AP.
    • If you're messing around with poor AP performance or looking for a new one, just get it and be done with it
    • this AP is great for you, it really is enterprise level build quality and software designed for the house
    • However, If you are looking for a great AP that will give you speeds that the current 802.11ac technology provides; then go buy a $20 router at Walmart
    • Upgraded our wireless AP to this about six months ago.
    • This AP is worth the price and gives you a lot of flexibility than a standard wireless router or gateway.
    • Excellent AP and a great dual-radio upgrade from my existing 2.4-only version.
    • On other thing that sold me on Ubiquiti was their were just about to come out with the new model (the one this review is one) which was its most powerful AP and they dropped the price.
    • I HIGHLY recommend this AP as well as it is also an excellent device for home, SOHO, or SMB
    • The AP's themselves have security issues, such as SSH being always on and requiring CLI to turn off
    • Good little ap for the LL of the house.
    • Amazing WiFi AP
    • Impressive AP, i used to own a couple of Ubiquti AP LR, decided to upgrade to AC, but was a little cautious into their first release not having unify, but this gen is as good as the LR, and much better transfer rates.
    • This AP is the bomb, I get better upload and download speeds from 2 floors away from it than I got right next to my cable company supplied router/ap/modem combo.
    • I was worried something would not work as it was not as complicated as expected
    • Great as always
    • Coverage is fantastic, aesthetically most think it's a smoke detector, and the blue light serves as a classy night light (can be turned off if so desired)FYI I have used BV-Tech POE switches as well as
    • as good as or better than Cisco or Aruba APs that I worked with that came out 2 years ago
    • So, 3 stars for that nightmare of a setup with Ubiquity's software, but kudos to the tech team (they always answer your chat message within 5 minutes, at least in my experience), as well as how good the price to performance is with their products.
    • Works exactly as I expected, love the fact that I don't need two separate SSIDs for the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz like a typical SOHO solution
    • My signal at one end of the house is just as strong as at the other end.
    • (I don't have any in-house streaming like a Plex server.)I really appreciate the PoE support as it has made it very easy to run a long Cat5e cable to wherever I want in to place the AP in my attic with no need to run another cable for power
    • We have 10 of these in one location as well as in other offices
