Ubiquiti Networks Unifi 802.11ac Dual-Radio PRO Access Point (UAP-AC-PRO-US)

    • I would diffidently recommend this product and this is the pro version which has some water resistance, the lite version is more than enough in most case and is roughly 1/2 the price, so the means twice as many :) but be careful these have very good range and more is not better
    • These units are great as they're dual band, use a single SSID and if the area you're at is saturated with wifi (such as an apartment complex) one of these will be your best friend as it'll select least populated bands for better range and speeds
    • Range is fantastic.
    • Good performance and range.

    • This product lived up to my expectations, works very well great range

    • Great commercial product with excellent strong signal and range.

    • Great range and connection quality.
    • I read many recent reviews that did say the Google WiFi had awesome range (though nothing likely close to the 3x difference compared to this unit).
    • The range and throughput on these devices is astounding.
    • My range and speed have improved by double
    • They're amazing units, very cost effective, have a great broadcast range, and you can set 'em and forget 'em
    • Superb product with excellent features and range
    • Great range for both AC and N; exactly as designed and advertised
    • I get great range out of this device
    • Fantastic range.
    • Range was very disappointing
    • The range and speed of these access points are amazing
    • The AP has great range and speed but a few days after using it, the PoE injector started constantly letting out a very loud incredibly high pitched whine that changes frequency presumably depending on how much power it is drawing at the time
    • The range is nice, but the throughput isn't nearly as good as ones rated the same or even slightly less in terms of hardware/performance
    • Overall, the AP is very reliable and provides great range
    • Easy to setup, amazing range, and cloud access makes management of multiple locations simple for our tech office.
    • Dirt simple setup and configuration, range is fantastic, looks good too so mounting additional units doesn't look bad
    • The PRO model did have a higher speed, but the range was so limited that it didn't work in the next room over at my home
    • Range is far better than my previous home router
    • Very stable, great range.
    • Solid as a rock, great range and fairly easy to set up
    • Great range, rock solid reliability, PoE, sexy case and lights
    • has about the best range of this series AP, so that is what I went with
    • And then BAM, your place is lit up with glorious, powerful, rock-solid wifi with a good range and reasonable penetration.
    • It has dual band, and MIMO (multiple antennas) and has great range and penetration power
    • Range is very good for my particular house (1800 sq feet split level
    • Range is great, setup is simple (yes, you have to download and run the management interface)
    • Great range and data rate.
    • It has incredible range (e.g. I can stream video outside the house at a range of about 150 feet).
    • Handoff works flawlessly and the range is great
    • Good range and reliability!
    • Otherwise, the range is fantastic, and there are so many options to configure, especially if you pair them with other UniFi products
    • The range of the devices is excellent and the hand off from one AP to another is seamless and not noticeable by the end user
    • The range is better than most consumer and low end enterprise grade routers, however the max speed I get is 500 Mbps on AC, and that's only if I am in the same room as my house
    • The range is excellent and being able to power it with PoE means it can go places residential/SoHo routers cannot.
    • The range is incredible, one AP covers my 2400 two stories plus basement house, something my Airport couldn't do
    • The Range of these things are awesome.
    • Range is great!
    • Incredible range on this - we have a huge hangar facility we use this in, signal is excellent.
    • Easy setup, good range.
    • For my purposes, I only needed to set it up and use it indoors.- EXCELLENT RANGE
    • They are rock solid and the range is great
    • I thought the range and speed was good but the two routers never had a seamless handoff
    • Cons:- honestly, the 5Ghz range is pretty weak.
    • The range is great and they deliver the performance you need in a household or corporate environment
    • Great range.
    • There were inevitable weak spots, but the UniFi AC Pro managed multiple devices perfectly with the greatest signal strength and range we've ever experienced.
    • Great hardware with subjectively the best reception range I've seen
    • Simple to set up and get running and fast with excellent range
    • Has great range and is very reliable
    • This AP has great range and speed
    • Awesome product!I put 2 of these in our corporate office and the range on these is phenomenal
    • works well, good range, easy to install.
    • Range is Excellent, however not really mentioned on Amazon page that if you plan to use this as part of a VLAN, you need to purchase the switch from Ubiquiti as well, otherwise, there is ZERO configuration available beyond ssid and wpa key.
    • Great range
    • I bought this under the impression this provides better range than the AC-PRO
    • " it's builtin antennae had horrible range (on top of the already known limited range of 5GHz compared to 2.4GHz).
    • It's got great range, it's fast, and it's got good advanced features like multiple SSIDs
    • Pros:- can be run using PoE and adapter is included.- has been updated frequently so far (good!)- 2.4 Ghz range is decent (not QUITE as strong as the TP-Link was, but decent enough most of the time)- supports a ton of connected devices and so far has never dropped one connection (have a mix of PC, idevice, printers, etc.)- goes for MONTHS without rebooting and no issues- has many options available though the software for monitoring, guest networks, etc
    • The range is good also.
    • The range is better than my WRT54GL, but not dramatically so
    • Range and reliability is great and setup was a piece of cake
    • Good enough range to cover the whole house with 2.4ghz
    • Good range, very stable.
    • Best WiFi range I've found.
    • Excellent range.
    • It had a nice range the short time it worked
    • I run IT for my small business, and I needed easy to setup, manage APs with excellent range and the ability to support hundreds of unique devices
    • Do not purchase- poor range and disconnects
    • It also has excellent range in general - the base model has a range of up to 400 ft, and the more recent devices support 802.11ac up to 1Gb/s
    • This thing has great speed and great range.
    • Plus, the wireless range is much better than my router.
    • Great range, BETTER than advertised!
    • Fantastic range, easy to set up, easy on the eyes, just all around fantastic
    • I was worried something would not work as it was not as complicated as expected
    • Great as always
    • Coverage is fantastic, aesthetically most think it's a smoke detector, and the blue light serves as a classy night light (can be turned off if so desired)FYI I have used BV-Tech POE switches as well as
    • as good as or better than Cisco or Aruba APs that I worked with that came out 2 years ago
    • So, 3 stars for that nightmare of a setup with Ubiquity's software, but kudos to the tech team (they always answer your chat message within 5 minutes, at least in my experience), as well as how good the price to performance is with their products.
    • Works exactly as I expected, love the fact that I don't need two separate SSIDs for the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz like a typical SOHO solution
    • My signal at one end of the house is just as strong as at the other end.
    • (I don't have any in-house streaming like a Plex server.)I really appreciate the PoE support as it has made it very easy to run a long Cat5e cable to wherever I want in to place the AP in my attic with no need to run another cable for power
    • We have 10 of these in one location as well as in other offices
    • I have a couple laptops that only support B/G/N that still had issues, but replaced the wifi in them with USB 802.11ac cards and they also work fantastically now
    • Both 2.4 and 5G work great
    • the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it insists on fixing on a very weak 5g channel even though I configured it to something else.
    • No bandsteering so most of the clients connect to the slower 2g and not the AC enabled 5g.
    • This thing supports dual 2.4/5G and 802.11ac and has extremely powerful radios, so it is an excellent choice for a modern home network -- for example, using Sonos devices for streaming high quality audio with no lag
    • Like that both the 2G and 5G SIDs can be the same name (previous AP wouldn't allow that).
    • I have always used Cisco and Aruba products and tried this and all I can say is WOW what an awesome platform and along with the Unifi controller it gives an amazing g amount of onsite into your networK/RF environment and it keeps getting better with every firmware update I keep getting more
    • so I ended up just disabling the 2g radio entirely to force 5g from that AP
    • I was looking more for a stronger 5G so picked up a 2nd one to fill in the gaps
    • 5G signal is somewhat lacking in strength but the 2G seems solid
