Because it was on sale and about the same price as a UE Boom 2 - and I needed a portable rugged speaker - it made sense to pick this up instead of the boom 2.

As a portable bluetooth speaker for $99 - this is a no brainer vs the UE Boom 2.

I have other UE speakers and love them, so I figured this would be the best Alexa device out there, much better than the Echo and more convenient than what I was using: an Echo Dot with a UE Boom 2
