This unit runs on 3 AA batteries which they include, one of mine was a dud, get a cheap battery checker, buy a spare set of 2400 NiMh and a good slow charger.

For $343 Warehouse deal it can't be beat arrived perfect except missing batteries ( OEM's are really cheap poor performers) and BNC/SMA antenna adaptor and manual

Second negative is the "Analyze" function does not work as it is described in the manual.

The VHF/UHF reception is about the same as my other units, as good as you'll probably ever need.
