The radio has a great receiver built in to it

Please read radioreference before you puchase this expensive receiver.

This is a digital receiver using the latest technology available

The only problem I have with it is that the receiver is not very sensitive

If you are law enforcement persons you will have much more powerful receivers available to you capable of Cell phone conversation monitoring etc., things no civilian should even be interested in

For a $450 radio I would expect a better receiver

Very powerful hand held receiver although you need to carefully read the instructions when programming the unit.
