unit stops working and shuts off at 3.1 volts can't be set any lower
-
I know this is a great product b/c several of my friends have them, with that being said, this unit has been very difficult to program and is not the user friendly item it claims be
-
Overall I definitely recommend this unit even with its power sourcing down sides
-
it worth it?"Without question, if you have the money to spend, you'll love this unit
-
The audio is crystal clear, and though some reviewers have complained about the build quality and "feel" of the radio, I seems to be a solid unit to me
-
this a very smart UNIT
-
You can make this unit just as simple or as complex as you want.
-
If you only listen to conventional frequencies than this unit is overkill and not worth the learning curve to get it working.
-
Having already owned the 536 version, setting up this unit was real easy.
-
Most times one might forget, and wake up to a dead unit!
-
I was hoping that I received a defective unit but when the second one arrived, it had the same problem
-
If you're happy with old firmware and database, then enjoy this unit, if you want updates, stay away.
-
I'm positive this will turn out to be a good unit, but not great due to the charging setup
-
I have had a Radio Reference subscription for years, and this unit takes full advantage of that
-
I bought this portable unit to try out and decide if I want to invest in the desktop model with the same features... and I DO !
-
Great unit highly recommend if you want analog with trunking
-
In my opinion, the BCD436HP would be a cool backup to a more reliable, self-contained unit like the BCD325P2.If you do buy the BCD436HP, make copies of your SD card (as formatted by the Sentinel software).
-
Nice radio, however the unit was very deaf on VHF & UHF and this was a deal breaker for me
-
I would recommend this unit to anyone.
-
Hope to find time to master this unit some
-
Turns out the FreeScan does not support this unit
-
All in all, I would certainly recommend this unit for any serious scanner enthusiast that has the money to spare !
-
Horrible unit
-
Really like this unit
-
Would recommend this unit.
-
The unit I have won't work with anything larger than a 4GB memory chip.
-
(This is not a defective unit
-
Terrific unit!

Once you plug in the charger, forget using this radio.otherwise it's a great little unit.
-
This unit works very well, and is much easier to use and program than earlier versions we have owned previously.

This unit is really hard to set up.
-
Otherwise , I would recommend this unit.

If you travel, buy the Uniden-brand GPS unit available on Amazon (Uniden BC-GPSK Serial GPS Receiver for Scanner and Marine Products).
-
I was hoping that I received a defective unit but when the second one arrived, it had the same problem
-
Is this unit a little pricey,
-
You could stop right there and enjoy this scanner as is, but if you like to tinker and customize, this unit will accommodate you on that front as well, with a whole host of user programmable features
-
The one complaint is if you plug in the USB cable to a USB charger the batteries only charge if the unit is off but it will work on just the cable when plugged in
-
This unit is plagued with issues.
-
But out of the box, the unit works and seems to work well.
-
Very nice unit
-
Defiantly a great unit and well worth the price.
-
Excellent upgrade from my BC396T.
