Other that that, the unit is very sensitive and works well for my needs.

Even though this scanner can only do conventional radio traffic (not digital), for the money it is a very solid unit with a lot to like and only a few drawbacks for the price

Unknown if this unit was defective when arrived or it was just hard to program from step one.

I wouldn't recommend this to any one who might be looking for an inexpensive unit

This is a durable unit with a clear readable screen and wait for it...........fairly darn easy to use.

However, if you intend to use it with headphones or earphones, forget it - the unit produces an irritating click whenever the internal audio amplifier turns on or off (i.e. at the start and end of each received radio transmission) and it gets annoying very quickly

Without special programming this unit is hard to use, I was hoping my wife could turn it on and listen to local Fire, Police and Emergency, that is not the case

Great handheld unit!

This is a powerful unit and can do a lot of things

I will upgrade to a better unit for Police and Fire / Emergency which are principal reasons I purchased unit.

but I have no regrets and would recommend this unit to anyone using an older, less versatile scanner but with the above negatives as a caveat.

This unit is impossible to program

The unit works just fine but since her vision isnt the best I should have bought a base unit with a larger screen on it but cant ding uniden for that.

This has been a very positive first experience with a very nice unit, I would recommend to anyone interested in dabbling.

This unit is fine for monitoring what I am looking to use it for (Analog Civil/Military Air Traffic), but I would not buy it for monitoring LEO/Police frequencies, as most are using Digital in the 800-900 mhz range

It can't keep up with a good desktop unit, but I did not expect it to do so.

It greatly outperforms the old desktop unit it replaced.500 channels is probably more than you need, but the excellent display and computer software make it easy to manage

The BC125AT Scanner is by far an outstanding unit and a steal for the price

This unit is very useful and the portability of this makes it even better

The unit is easy to jump between channels.

The unit is difficult to figure out, software is hard to find to program with PC and there is an added cost if you want it programmed

When I travel on the road, this unit will become even more useful with the close call feature.

This is a nice unit and easy to program on the fly or using the USB cable and software.

Good little unit

It's a good unit for the money but not a great scanner to program.

The unit itself is easy to program once the kinks are worked out, which was nearly three hours.
