Using an adapter and roof mounted magnetic mount antenna, this hand held works as well as a vehicle mounted unit

I'll keep this as a spare unit in case my primary dies, but I definitely wouldn't recommend buying this.

Very decent unit as long as you understand that the range is no where comparable to one with a proper antenna.

If you only intend to use it in a vehicle then you might as well get a proper CB unit and mount that in the car
