Nice metal body, design is much better than other products

Have worked as a computer tech for 11 years and this has a very poor design.

Compared to those casings I have purchased in my country, this product's design is sturdy and of good-built

It is very cheaply designed, but still maintains a solid feel

They have a simple, clean design and installing a SATA drive is easy (you'll just need a small gauge Philips head screwdriver).

Poor design

Although it's not the best design in the world, it works

I bought this product one week ago but found that its design is horrible and was not fully tested

In case you're wondering from the photos, the clear plastic sheet is designed to protect the drive circuitry from shorting out against the metal case

The circuit board attached to the front panel was a little askew, but there were no other problems with the build.+ Good weight, no heavier than any of the plastic drives I've owned before.+ Looks surprisingly good for a cheap item; again, no qualms leaving this on my desk.+ Thoughtful cord design, although with my drive being a lowly 5,400RPM unit i have no need for the second USB cable.

If you take the assembly apart again after you initially set it up, it is very likely to break on you, extremely flimsy design

The Sabrent is better designed, much more solid and with all the features of the Vantec, only better executed.

Well priced, well designed, and now well used

Works perfectly just like the description of the product describe of its function and has a great design.

Unlike some poorly-designed adapter, this adapter itself doesn't burn much power from the computer USB port, which means the hard drive itself can get most of the power from the computer USB port, sufficient for it to work properly even without the complementary USB plug specifically for power supply plugged.2

It doesn't look the best (kind of boxy, no industrial design) but that doesn't matter to me.

2.5-Inch SATA to USB 3.0 External Hard Drive Enclosure (NST-200S3-BK) and the design was much better, solidly holding the drive and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye - much more what I expected from Vantec.
