It does require a bit of fiddling with your wireing/fusebox (my fuse panel is at bottom of dash, so easy).Now, depending on what you prefer, you must locate a wire only active when ignition is ON (for 'on while driving' unless impact trigger activates units battery) or a 'always hot' (for 24/7, as I have it ..... however be warned ... you are limited to mem chip ability and may loose video if you don't get there within that time frame

it does also offer loop recording with up to 5 min videos and a g-sensor to automatically lock videos and protect them if there is a hard stop or impact and does have 3 levels of sensitivity which helps with my performance suspension and sold motor mounts
