They don't have as much isolation, but the sound is 10X better.

It's much like noise cancelling pretty much beautifies the drum sounds and makes the bass way more enjoyable

For context, I also have Seinnhesser HD-280s PRO headphones and I am extremely pleased with them, as they also have decent sound insulation and seem to have excellent sound quality for the price

These headphones have been improved from the last generation with padding that is more comfortable and conforms to the head better for a more secure sound barrier

The sound is quite good, and the isolation really allows you to block out almost all sound when you have music playing

The isolation knocks the sound out about 85%.

They also don't distort out side sound

While they are not mixing headphones, they are definitely great at muting as they have always done as well as getting a clear, good sounding signal to track against.

These headphones do a great job at isolating sound and enabling me to hear my music well while playing my drums.

The work and sound amazing, but after a few months the left side started cutting in and out.

The sound is as good as any headphones I've ever owned, and they block out the loudest noises, yet you can still hear the softer sounds well enough to talk to someone standing near you

It does excaltly what you expect it to do, the sound is clear and natural, no overbass, need to get use to the pinched head because it is tight.

I highly recommend the 280s over a pair of SIH1, I have never heard my DM10x kit sound so great.

You can hear clearly your drums while playing using this isolation headphone, and it protects your ears from the loud sound caused by the cymbals and whole drum's pieces!

Instead of that raw, clanky sound of live hats, you get a muted, smoother sound like you would hear on a MP3

I would reccommend wearing a pair of earplugs under these to limit sounds below 85db
